I think you just go up to your teammate and press the "use" button (F on PC, X on 360, square on PS3 I believe)

I've never had to pull one off though, so I could be wrong.

i use it a lot , mostly i use it to see if someone passed through a passage i care to monitor. i use caltrop grenades too but it stays on until the cool down is over, cortex is most fun though cause people arent use to it yet.

funny part : i killed 3or4 people with a sticky bomb two days ago(map sec tower when hostage was about the finish line and they(the enemy side) were on that balconyshooting down on it, i got 3 people with cortex too yesterday on shipyard

p.s. edit , i got a photo from the one yesterday with the cortex, but i do not have one from that sticky bomb, perhaps people that were there and witnessed it can tell u ( unless them were bots :P , but i doubt cause i usually go in servers where its like 15 players or so )

POST IN ALL CAPS!!!

Protip: Aim at a teammate with a sticky on them. You'll get a little popup telling you to use whatever button you use to apply a buff to a teammate. Using said button will pull the sticky off.

Actually, I answered it.
Yet you refused to believe it, or to test it.

You use Use / Interact with them. It's an instant action, no holding down the button. You do have to be within arm's length, though.

You gave him what you believed was the correct answer. I gave him what I know to be the correct answer. Are they one in the same? Yes. People today would rather TYPE LIKE THIS OMG HELP ME NAO! than test valid suggestions.

Stickies are useless in this game... better off using your meter on caltrops, emps and regular grenades... hopefully they nurf the sticky and replace it with something more useful... like a hologram decoy :slap:

If you know how to use them, stickies can be great. They can take out 2-3 enemies at once if you get a good shot.

They stay on the ground until destroyed and get picked up by anyone running over them. They are great for monitoring routes and making sure you don't get ran up on from behind.

You can stick them on the door as you take a command post or objective and the person has to either chase you down to try to get the kill and die, or run back to his team to get it off. Or you can just stick em on a command post after you take it, so if someone wants to take it they have to have at least 2 people or they're dead. The AI can see the sticky bombs like they're radioactive, but online it's much different. If you don't like it, don't spend a point in it.

I can see many uses for it, but the sticky really is not a practical weapon that suits an operative. Its function is really silly dont you think? It's performing the same job as a landmine or even a claymore.. except instead of being stationary and detonated by touch it sticks to the enemy and counts down. I think they only put it in the game to suit the majority of FPS gamers that like sticky grenades from other games such as HALO... stickies are more of a soldier ability... maybe they should have just made an explosives expert class ... demolition man anyone?

Some people don't notice that someone is stuck with one and some people are in groups/fireteams and know as soon as it shows up. Sticky nades never work on me because I am always with friends but if you find some poor svcker with teamates who don't notice then you can get them all.

I toss them in choke points more often than at some1. Works pretty good too. Team them up with Caltrops and its golden.

I'm finding sticky bomb progressively easier; I pretty much exclusively play against bots on Co-Op, though. Regardless, I have no doubt I could get real humans in the same situations, now that I've got the arc right. The best thing about them is if you throw them to the floor and someone runs over it (much more likely with humans than bots) it sticks to them until it explodes.

You get a bunch of points, depending on the damage dealt, but I think I saw +360 once which is a decent score for one button press.

I use a sticky to try and disrupt the player, either they get killed, or run back to find a team mate only to find that it's too late. Or they might get lucky and have it removed.
They don't make as many kills but they're still very useful. Lay them on the ground like caltrops, they get walked over, wait a while and kaboom! :chaos:

Each Operative can only have one Sticky out at a time, kind of like Mines and Turrets for Engineers. If someone shoots it, or a frag hits close, it'll explode, and unlike Mines, they're visible to everyone if you're watching, but if you land one on a target (takes pretty good precision aim), then it sticks immediately. I find the easiest way is to throw the Sticky from behind someone while you're Disguised. Especially valuable when they're in the middle of being attacked from another direction.

Wow, tyvm, I had no idea you could do this. I was about ready to write the sticky nade off as a wasted point spent. Thanks for the info!
