Stiff Competition In November

Post » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:18 am

All of those games are very meh.

hey now that is an opinion. Minecraft is great. Sure, you gotta take time off of it and play something else for a while but I always keep coming back. People better start saving up now if they want more than one title in november. just sayin.

Battlefield 3 comes out November (which looks so much better than COD). I will get that...but Skyrim comes first...no matter what!

HA! I play first person shooters and a few random other genres of games, but the only game I'll be getting in November will be Skyrim. And until Crysis 3, Dead Space 3 or Fallout 4 come out, Skyrim will be the only game I play! :tes:

EDIT: And even then, Skyrim will still be my main game.

RPG players are gonna get Skyrim. Minecraft's decision to come out the same day was a huge mistake. Nerds everywhere are gonna be lost and confused. Personally I don't really like Minecraft much. MW3 and Uncharted 3 will be huge, but they sort of appeal to a different audience than Skyrim. Honestly though, November is always like that. It's when all the big anticipated games are released... Just before the Holiday season.

BF3 is a definite buy, as the fun had online with the bro's is a riot.
The graphics, designed for PC, are amazing.
If you havent checked them out, you should, if your into Squading up, Commanding, Team Play, and Chatting with your buds, is your thing.
If not, you dont want this game.

Kinda hard to compare the two when all that's been shown of MW3 is a teaser trailer.

And that's more than enough to know it'll be the same tired aging franchise it's developed into.

It's releasing on a Friday because that was the easiest way to do a simultaneous worldwide launch.

they dont care what day it is
its releasing on 11 11 11 because its an awesome sounding date and its easy to remember
it could be a thursday monday whatever
they chose the number over the day of the week

Right, because Battlefield has been innovative.

I think Skyrim will sell better than most other november games, MW3 will most likely be the overall winner in terms of most copies sold but thats to be expected because so many people play COD.

Right, because Battlefield has been innovative.

You've made it very obvious what side you're on.

BTW, i'm not an advocate for BF3 either. I won't be getting either game, but it's unfortunate I already know what Activision will deliver in November.

Don't know about everyone else but this is all I want this year.

LA Noire: Ordered and coming soon.

Gears of War 3: Only because I want to see what happens with that.

Skyrim: Of course. Waiting to see what the special edition is like.

Maybe list:

Rage: Looks alright, but I can wait for that. Probably get it when it drops in price. Looks a bit mindless for me.
Batman AC: First one was ok but I got bored and didn't finish it.
Call of Duty MW3: Don't think I need another one of these, but we will see if it has good co-op and replay value.
Also I love bots, so if this one takes them out after BO I'm not in at all.
AC: Rev: Looks same as BH to be honest, may pick that up next year.

Don't forget the DLC will keep us busy too guys!

Maybe but we dont all have a small list like that

-The Witcher 2 Already ordered
-AC: Revelation. won't miss one chapter for sure. Another collector edition to buy
-Battlefield 3
-MW3 (Rent because I dont want to leave the campaing as a cliffhanger)
-Skyrim
-Starwars The Old Republic
-Dark Souls
-Rage
-Deus EX Human Revolution
-Dead island ?????????????????????????????? not sure yet.
-Hunted: The demons forge if it gets good reviews

thats minimum 700$ so if it was mostly on the same week it would be problematic.

I think so, I played the first two AC games and enjoyed them but have now lost interest in that series.

Hope you are still not worrying if this will get delayed. Bethesda knew they would be facing CoD in that week. Black Ops released on the 9th of November
last year. If Bethesda where so worried and didn't think they would have a game worth competing with CoD they would have released it in October or
something. We will see if this plays out and Bethesda are right in their release schedule. Only one way to find out, so until then all we have is speculation.

I used to be a big battlefield fan, but it became trash. It had the same development cycle as the CoD game, just with one studio developing it. And if it's true that Ininity Ward has a small hand in the latest release, with two other studios doing the brunt of the development, I would like to see how you know what it's gonna be like. It can be trash, the same, or amazing. It's impossible to tell at this point. But since obvious to you I'm not a knee jerk CoD hater to you I don't know why I'm explaining myself.

MW3 will sell alot better, BF3 will sell alot better, AC:R might sell more.

AC:B sold 6,5 millions copies in a few month apparently oblivion is 2.5 million NOW

Activision has given me no reason what so ever to believe they've changed their ways. Sorry.
