I think, we should support Crytek.
I do really hope, EA rushed the release, and we all know, Crytek can do great games, and what we currently got is a great game... but not what we expected.
We should support them, let's hope they are working on a big patch with many bugfixes and hopefully much better graphics.
They may lost a lot of their reputation, but I think, they can get the reputation back, if they release a proper patch

The core foundation is what made them lose respect in the first place. Patches can not fix that.

I think, the PC version needs polishing. What makes me worry is, that in the last time Crytek didn't fixed a lot of things.
I am sure, Crytek will implement/patch 64bit like they did with Crysis WARHEAD.
I am sure, the DirectX 11 patch will change the graphics serious.
But what about physics.
Really, I am a huge Crytek fan, of course I am disappointed, but on the other side Crysis 2 is a great game... but it's just not Crysis anymore.
We need a bugfree game, with the best (!) graphics on the market. The current textures are a joke...

btw. I read a long time ago on the Crymod forum, that Advanced Graphics Options ARE going to be patched in... (posted from an official Crymod & propably Crytek worker)

Another thing is the community.. if the community is so important for them, why don't they tell us things..
I think, they are working either on a biiig patch and want to surprise us (lets hope that), or they just don't care about the PC community.. (I don't think they don't care)

console port or not - the game is even worse on consoles.

horrible FPS (talking about values of 25-30 here), slow as heck when you're in-game, not to mention the time you spend waiting to find a host when joining a game.

i'd go as far as saying the game is actually better on pc.

Why support crytek when they don't even support us properly.

Come on, we have to rely on third parties to have fixes. Like advanced settings made by another programmper, the flickering issues fixed by others by adapting drivers, no anti-cheat, server worse than a decade ago, music in menu's **** up making me sick, and the list goes on. Do you call that proper support after one month ?

And support also mean discussions on forums on each side. All we have is cry-adam and cry-tom popping here and there telling us quite nothing cause they know nothing more than us.

And it's not the carrot of DX11 that will make me change my mind.

You're right.. but what should be do? I am entitled to the Crysis franchise. Crysis 1 was superior, Crysis 2 is just .. "good" (without bugs I mean)
If we get Sandbox3, Better Graphics, a Huge Patch with Bugfixes, then everyone'd be happy .. that's for sure

I gave them $60, what more support does Crytek need? This isn't about "hope" or "crossed fingers", being a commercial relationship after all. Either they make it right, or they don't.

I understood back in the day biching about nanocounts going away and the like, but wasnt that patched... and... doesn't this game autopatch you?

And.... having played day 2 of release to see the first patch in place already, who the hell can complain about autoaim being in the release? Personally, it leads me to question if some bugs were intentional so that pirates got them, while a day one patch took them out for the rest of us... and the autoaim was for the pirates so they got a less enjoyable experience.

Just my theory.... and makes me wonder about people still biching about that....

Overall Crysis 2 not bored me , even for 1 minute. Game is very interesting.

For 2-3 years i never finished any game, cause i was bored all of them.

Yes, ur right. I made a big mistake.

But I didnt think the game would have so many bugs in MP. Ive never seen so many cheaters on any other game and the people playing with pirate copies for so long is totally ridiculous!

doom had a lot of cheaters when it first come out

I'm really hoping for the DX 11 patch and game fixes. As much fun as im having with MP , I'm also haveing a lot of headaches with MP. Couldnt get into a single match today, actually i should say couldnt stay in a match today.

I dont want to have to wait a month for the fixes either. If you spend 60 dollars on something it had better be playable.

I havent started the single player portion yet because i want to wait for the DX 11 patch.

Seriously.... steam is so much better, and almost every game I've played that had issues with Xfire had NO PROBLEM with Steam. (And I mean non-steam versions.) Seriously.... it's a performance hit on so many games I cant imagine anyone still wanting to use it.

I've been quite supportive of Crytek this whole time. However, I'm slowly losing my faith in them. They've not responded to many of our questions, and whenever we ask something inconvenient they shut up and/or drop the subject. They're far from being transparent. This is not how developers should be. Hell, they're even worse than 2K Games with their PC DLC support.

My faith in Crytek is measured with a gauge. Doing good things (e.g. answering our questions, giving us DX11, fixing problems, etc.) increase it, while doing bad things (e.g. shutting up, not supporting us properly) decrease it. When it's at 100%, I say good things about them. If it reaches 0%, I'll tell people not to buy or even play Crysis 2. And I bought the Nano Edition too. When I preordered it back in September, I thought Crysis 2 will be absolutely awesome, even more so than Crysis 1. I was wrong. Crysis 2 offers little more than gameplay on the PC, and even then only when you don't run into bugs or cheaters.

Crytek, I hope you're reading this. Restore my faith while you still can.

All they can do is fix the damn multiplayer (the latency issues) to give me at least something for my money. Then I won't hate them, but I won't respect them anymore either.
