Still freezing after patch and patch patch.

Post » Fri Nov 26, 2010 12:27 am

These forums are apparently being kept an eye on regarding feedback so my frustration has led me to stick my 2 cents in.

Game is still freezing, 15 mins in, sometimes while saving so still corrupting or nearly corrupting my save files.

Cleared my cache etc and hasn't helped.

Not cool. That is all really, know I'm not the only one, know its been said before.

Thanks.

I say we should email the company every single time the game freezes. They will no longer be able to deny the problem. I play for MAYBE 15 minutes before mine freezes, before AND after the patches.

My game runs buttery smooth after the patch. I got on here before I fired it up and saw people were having problems so I disconnected my 360 from the internet and made several save files for my play through just in case. Then i hooked it back up, downloaded the patch and everything was fine. I didn't even get the missing DLC error. It's weird how other people are getting freezes and such.

Bethesda please, please, please, please, get your QA department in order. from arena to fallout, you guys have become and are still notrious for this stuff. We all already know what to expect when Skyrim comes out. When your name goes down in the history books, bugs will be right there next to all the great things you've done.

Anyways I haven't been playing fallout at all, but after the new patch, my little brother's savegame continues to load forever. it's been loading for a couple hours now. We're on the new model xbox (kinect) 200gb, no DLC and this is the first update we attempted to install. after deleting update and cache, save games simply freeze after two seconds of loading. Thanks for your quick response in a fix

I've had exactly 7 freezes and 4 DREs (uninstalled and installed) in the last 98 minutes of play.

Please sort this out...

Yeah, these patch problems seem to be effecting people in different ways. The new patch let me back into my old save (I was SOL loading them with the first patch), and I've been playing for about 15 minutes now with no apparent problems. I really can't begrudge a game the size and scope of Fallout the occasional glitch or freeze, as frustrating as that may be. As long as I can restart my system and pick up where I left off, I'll svck it up and live with it. The fact that they are at least attempting to fix the problem is encouraging. Of course If my game starts freezing here in the next few minutes, maybe I'll be chaning my tune.

I don't mind the "occasional" freeze, but having to restart my Xbox or being booted back to the dash every 10 minutes is hardly "occasional".

I only had a problem with one save and that was the save I used when my Xbox froze at loading (bugged Patch 3). I would just get the spinning roulette wheel of death, it spun for over 10 minutes before I forced the Xbox to shutdown. Then I deleted the save through the dashboard. Loaded up my save from before the corrupt one and I was able to load it up just fine. Even tested my other character who's level 35 already and finished dead money, his loaded up fine too. I've played for about 2 hours now and every thing seems the same, don't really notice anymore smoothness cause on the last patch it was pretty good. I might head on over to hoover dam cause that was always choppy.

But one bug I still have is the arms above your head in first person view, I hate this damn bug.

Yeah, wow. That is bad. Did you try deleting the patch in your memory, clearing your cache, restarting your system, and then re-installing the new-new patch? What about cursing loudly and throwing your controller at a kitten? That's what I would do.

I've seen this happen. It doesn't work. Might try throwing at a puppy chewing a wasp.

Also further to my original post I just wanted to say that I can understand everyones frustration regarding the situation. I'm writing on behalf of my partner who absolutely loves the game and has literally said if it was any other game it wouldn't be worth the hassle, the hassle is getting beyond a joke though regarding the freezing.

My posting has come about purely to add to numbers so that hopefully they may fix the issues quicker. I suspect they know the problems tho and are working on a fix but theres no point ****ing and moaning about something and doing absolutely nothing I guess.

Not sure how I feel about the requesting a refund situation, want the game, just think they should have delayed releasing it and made it stable before doing so. I'm sure all the avid fallout fans out there would have much preferred that.

Ah OK. I'm glad I checked the forums to see if anyone else noticed this after the patch was downloaded. I hope they have a fix soon because this svcks.
