Spears would be nice, but they aren't really on my most wanted list as far as features go. Levitation, climbing or spell crafting would all rank higher for me.

Yes please. And no, I don't think we should stop whining, if you don't whine they'll think it's not a big deal and they won't do anything about it. But if you complain non-stop they'll realise that it's something we really want, and should be added in.

Personally, I'll be okay if there are no spears. But that doesn't mean they should remove them just because it's not a must.

You're quite the pessimist. No decision is final, they can do whatever they want. And if sufficient pressure is applied they will change it. Not with that attitude though.

God. Bethesda shouldn't have added them to Morrowind in the first place. Depends on what your idea of "improvement" is. I'm not gonna lie, it'd be pretty damn fun hurling one at a mammoth's head but come on they're not really a vital part of any TES game. As others have said, we can live without 'em. Or I can anyway...

Oh, but you should care. It is Irrelevant and trivial if you don't use spears - you should care anyway. Why is it so easy for the wool to pulled over so many of your eyes? Don't you realize that if we say it's okay for them to take away that, they may take away other things in the future ? What happens if they try to omit something else that you do care about then? Will you be all up in arms, or resigned like you are here? Real Elder Scrolls Fans know that the Elder Scrolls is about options and customization, and the diminishing of this in any way should not be taken lightly.

I really don't care much. Of course, I'm not going to argue against their inclusion, but I won't use them, so technically, no, I don't want them. :shrug: I've thoroughly played three main Elder Scrolls games that don't have them and I can very happily play a fourth that doesn't have them. In the one that did have them, I've NEVER used them.

I woudn't be averse to spears being in the game, but I have no pressing desire to see them either. There's only so many types of weapons that can be included and spears seem quite niche to me. I can honestly say in all the hundreds of hours I've sank into Morrowind I have never once used one.

Terrible, terrible approach. How many times must I say that Elder Scrolls is about choices, customization, and possibilities! It's not about what you do individually. Are you really that selfish? It's about much more than that my friend, it's about the having the potential to do whatever you want. That is what sets this series apart and why I love it so.

Do i need to remind you how Morrowind was made before Oblivion and Skyrim? You can't newly add something retroactively

It's about choices, customization, and possibilities, but three of the existing four main Elder Scrolls games don't have them. They've never specifically been a staple or tradition of this game series and I don't use them. Spears are not connected to the series as they haven't been in a majority of the existing Elder Scrolls games and yes, I can be selfish. I don't use spears. I don't like spears. It's no simpler than that. I'd rather see some threads about flails. Why aren't people rioting over those? Flails appeared in more Elder Scrolls games than spears.

They were my favorite weapon in Morrowind and...I've moved on. I could really care less at this point. Spears are the least of my concerns.
