Since there wasn't an "I don't care" option I went with no, unless they are planning on implementing them already I wouldn't want the game delayed just for the sake of spears.

Seriously, its just silly to not have spears. They bring so much to the table as far as playstyle and roleplaying, and there is plenty of lore involving them.

Please, just give us our [NUMINIT] spears already.

I think Beth needs to take a step back and take a look at the spear before they shut it down.

Hmm, well, let me rephrase that, I don't care if spears are in, but I care enough not to want them to implement it if other parts of the game gets left out or delayed because of it ^^

But that ruins the whole point of the poll, doesn't it? It's basically people saying, "Screw you!" to people who happen to really want a particular feature.

Well it's not like it hasn't been talked about in length before... this is, what? The nine hundredth spear poll? Bethesda already knows their fanbase loves spears and they've decided to leave it out anyway. End of story. Game over man. What more is there to talk about?

Ok. Todd already confirmed that there are NO spears in the traditional sense.

I would normally vote yes on such a poll, and I think spears would be a cool addition, but Enough Already. It's a lost cause, and forcing them to put spears in this late could distract them from polishing more central and vital game mechanics. I could understand if it was once a week, even twice a week, but it seems like every day there's a new thread whining about spears.

He was probably just screwing with us. In all the screens we haven't seen anything remotely like a spear. At this point I doubt there will be anything

You see the little gear wheel on the right side of the search bar? Click it, type in "spears", check 'search titles only', check 'forums', click 'search' and you'll get 47 thread titles with the word spears in it. Choose the most recent, or the one containing the most posts, and post in it.

Anyway. I want to mount my enemies on a pike, and cook them over a roaring fire. :flamethrower:

I'm going to be constructive here:
To the right of the search dialog is a Gear icon. Click it.

Type spears in the search box.

Click the check mark box next to "Search Titles Only."

Since this forum has a rule about bumping very old threads, you can enter this year under the date range.

Make sure the option for searching the forums is selected.

Click Search Now.

This results in nine topics. In addition you can sort the results based on last post time.

No. Forget about spears. They couldn't have been that good. :ermm:

Yes they were. They were the only weapon except a bow that could kill diseased cliff racers before they hit you... Range matters.

Also spears look good.
