Hi

Still trying to complete "Return to your roots". Try as I may I just can't find the three roots I need. I've left Blackreach and gone back to Skyrim, waited endless days to see if any reappear, combed every inch of land and water but no joy.

I know there are supposed to be about 40 in total but can't find the three I need. Have also been through all the buildings (Hall of Rumination, Debate Hall, Pumping Stations etc etc ......).

Do they appear anywhere else on Skyrim?

They only appear in Blackreach. Look harder.

wait 30 days then they respawn.

I love that quest.

I used water-walking (Azhidal's boots) to just run around all the bodies of water in Blackreach, since there's a lot of them near the water's edge. But there are some very sneaky ones.

They should also respawn in 10 days.

The Trolls are Trolls, Spiders are an Arachnophobes Nightmare, and a fear of Falmer is healthy unless You need to enough Crimson Nirnroot. Four Potted Nirnroot exist in Blackreach, finding the last can be Gloomy, and may seem like walking on the Sun.

I have had characters leave with over 40 Crimson Nirnroot, but I know where to find them. I always leave the one on the Waterfall and the four Potted Nirnroot in Blackreach. I get the rest, unless I am beginning a character in Blackreach.

The crimson ones? You only need 20.

Oh that was frustrating. There is one under the walkway in the sewer pump house. Gotta turn off the 2 valves to get to it. There is 1 up on the tower where the spiders hang. A couple down in the bottom of the whole thing- one next to a waterfall. Ando ne by the frost trolls up near the top ... Don't forget to Shout Unrelenting Force at the chandelier.

There are more than 30. I think i've found 35 of them in one run.

I turned down all the music in the game and went slow. It helped.

I've never found more than 30. Granted, I grab 30 and get the eff out of there. Hate that place. It's the most visually stunning place in Skyrim but I hate it.
