Still single player?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:04 am

Seriously...how fun would this game have been if you could co-op with friends?? I loved the other fallout games but i always wanted to play with friends...i am very disappointed that 4 will not be multiplayer....

I'm so glad BGS doesn't listen to people like you, tbh. I'm pretty sure as long as Todd Howard is directing games from BGS, it's just not going to happen. And that's a good thing. There are plenty of games that offer the experience you're looking for, and who knows... maybe even a mod will eventually be worked into the game.

As for BGS themselves wasting development time implementing that kind of feature? No. HELL no.

Yep, still single player. Bethesda knows that multiplayer is one of the most requested features so maybe they will deliver eventually.

Personally I'd love some LAN co-op or even some off-line split-screen co-op. Coordinating with a friend while in combat would be awesome.

no. the only RPG i want to have multiplayer is one that focuses on it and builds around it but i don't want beth's games to be something i have less chances to use due to not having a good group/internet/what-have-you

I wouldn't want to sacrifice anything for co-op, which is exactly what would happen in order to implement that system. Fallout is best experienced as a single player, and they know that.

It'll never happen. Sorry.

Fallout has always been a single player experience, and should frankly stay that way. There's really nothing benefiting Fallout, by adding co-op.

Oh god no. Bethesda excels at making outstanding single player games, and I don't want them to lose that focus.

I hope that philosophy never changes. If it does, I'll lose a ton of respect and admiration that I have for Bethesda. Too many developers try to pigeon-hole multiplayer into game series that don't need it. I'm glad Bethesda isn't one of them.

Multiplayer is a gimmick often tacked on to give the allusion of having a greater value to a game, while trying to cater to people who spend a majority of their time playing nothing but mp. While sacrificing the singleplayer experience. Fallout neither warrants, nor should ever include multiplayer.

There are so many co-op games on the market already. While I understand the creative potential of a co-op fallout, or elder scrolls experience, I can't help but feel it would take away from the single player. These games are my single player refuge, and it's going to take one hell of a developement team to come up with something that appeals to both markets.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't understand why people are wanting Fallout to be multiplayer... There are plenty of survival themed multiplayer games out there, as well as many multiplayer titles to come out.

If there is a co-op/multi-player Fallout game, ZeniMax would be the one to take the project, not Bethesda.

Nope. Someone else will make a similar game if the demand is there. ESO didn't work out so well as true TES fans wanted a singleplayer experience, not some weird mmo.

I've read through this thread twice now and I'm still not sure if there is any sort of consensus on this issue. Are you guys saying that you DON'T want co-op?

There are enough video games with some type of multiplayer component. Lets have video games that are 100% singleplayer as well.

I don't want co-op or any type of multiplayer component in video games developed by Bethesda Game Studios ever at all.

Wow. So glad you would register as a new user just so you could start this thread.

But seriously no. There are so many games with MP, surely you can find one to play with your friends. Not every game in the world needs to cater to the MP crowd.
