The poll order is kind of off isn't it? I'm not all that familiar with the different ratings, but A is much more restrictive than M isn't it?

Anyway, it will almost certainly be M. I agree with the post that said 99.9% chance of M.

And I suspect the reason it hasn't been rated yet is just because the people that rate these things have not yet gotten a "completed" copy or just haven't gotten around to it yet.

yea but i was like c e e10 t a what am i forgeting ohemmgee how did i forget m

Most games take forever to get their rating

Skyrim is definitely going to be M, most good games are nowadays

C-e10 means just about everyone should play the game
T- means teenagers and up should play
M-17+
ao-you need to be an advlt to buy this, can't be bought with parental approval...I believe

Two things before I answer:

1. Using all capital letters is very annoying.

2. Your poll is biased. A game that is rated M is not automatically a good game, and not all good games are rated M.

But, that said, the game will probably be rated M.

EDIT: People actually want Skyrim to be rated AO? You people do realize that it would be incredibly hard to find anywhere that would sell it, right? And that it would sell barely any copies because of the difficulty of finding it? And that it would ruin Bethesda's reputation as a game developer, and might prevent another TES from coming out?

For all Americans like me care it could be rated "C" because "C"-"M" are basically the same here. I know 5 year olds that play "M" games and on the high end like GTA.

It would be a waste to rate a game that might receive additional content (or removal of content) before release that may or may not have an affect on the rating.

until the game goes gold, it would be a waste of time and resources to rate it.

I find the ratings to be completely misleading anyway. While some games feature one thing, they get a higher rating than another game with similar features, or worse...
And most of the time, the ratings doesn't even make sense, at all.

Sometimes I wonder if the ratings are there for those who actually are mentally unstable. If you're experiencing brain disfunction, do not play this game!

As other's have said, probably M. Which is unfortunate for me, because that means it will be 18 here in Norway, and I'm just 16...:(

I'm expecting (and hoping) M. I want Mature content darn it, lol.

Besides, there's blood and lotsa death to be had, plus marriage implies mature themes on top of that (plus booze, etc, etc).

If it isn't rated M, I'll probably drop whatever I'm doing, grab the nearest person and ask them, "Did you move my soda?"
Then I'll wonder how I got there.

Anyways, is this really a question?

I am guessing they will be shooting for a "T" rating as they had for Oblivion. The only reason they changed it after release was because modders had found unused 'nvde' textures on the actual game disk. I doubt they will make that mistake this time. I am not saying their won't be nvde mods, but modders will be making those textures.

That is where things got unfair IMO. Oblivion was T but was changed to M becuase whoever is in charge of ratings or whatever saw that there are mods to make underwear and tops go away.Ya I know, they are mods but that shows how stupid the ratings people are.

They are supposed to rate based on the in-game content. Bethesda had anatomically correct female boobs. It doesn't matter if you need a mod to see them. Also, it wasn't the only reason. The ESRB claimed Bethesda misrepresented how mangled Lucien Lachance's corpse actually looked.
