Maybe that is the place where Alduin's wall is in the game.

Someone look at the magazine, does the screenshot on the opening page of the article, with the dragon perched on top of a pillar with smaller statues around it, look an awful lot like the mountaintop area in that concept to you?

Todd was discussing the history of dwarves when the concept art was displayed, so it would seem to be Dwemer ruins.

I love the "city" shot and I hope that is in the game and that it doesn't end up like Leyawiin in Oblivion (concept art dropped for a more generic look).

At a point at the second video (6:15) Todd said that the Dragons Language creates fire, cold, wind and slows time.

Since dragonborns speak dragonic too, could that mean that the player's character will also be able to slow time and breath fire ?

Yes, but we already knew that from the article.

dragon shouts, you get them when you kill a dragon. idk about breathing fire, but with one of them you can slow time and another I remember said that you can teleport short distances.

A slow time dragon shout was confirmed in the GI article. I'm sure there will be a "fire spell" one too, but I doubt the PC will actually breathe fire. :P

That looks to be the top of the Throat of the World.

Also, Mammoths and Bears in the game? Amazing.

And yes the Dragonborn can Slow time, Breath Fire (you can see him breathing fire on Alduins Wall) ect. These are "dragonshouts" that we will use to defeat dragons.

Interesting interview of how Todd came to be in the video game industry and about Elder Scrolls/Skyrim.

I do appreciate his time to discuss all of what he said and some new information about Skyrim.

Those stills would make excellent wallpapers. :)

Closest one looks like a griffin, but the other could be a dragon statue. Just looks like various beast statues really.

It's official (in my mind). Bethesda has hit the sweet spot between creativity and realism.

These small figures look like they're... dead... the picture shows some big red blood puddles I think.

The small figures looks like birds to me.

I can't find the video, GI's website is all messed up for me. Can anyone link me to it outside of GI?

Todd basically described Bethesda's games as I have been for years: When you see Bethesda Softworks on the box, you know it might not get everything perfect, but it'll be an epic and fun experience regardless.

Skyrim looks (concept art-wise) to pretty much blow its predecessor out of the water. Those drawings present some really unique-looking locations and I love that they're taking the very real process of ancient cities being occupied by different people over the centuries and applying it to their games. Why wouldn't a fully fortified and pre-built Dwemer city be reused by the next culture to discover it?

The temple http://i.imgur.com/V4bsQ.jpg looks like the structure on the first/second page of the magazine article.
Not exactly the same, but pretty close.

Already mentioned! You have my vote for it being the same though.

The art looks great. There are some really unique looking locations it seems. I can't wait to see it fully realized in 3D.

the concept art looks cool, but we shouldnt let it get our hopes up too much, this stuff may not even make it in, or atleast be changed significantly.

dual-wielding a sword and staff with a shield on our back would look awesome as hell, though...

hopefully we can really do that.

Am I the only one who thinks our boy Todd is *shudders* going Mainstream? This interview makes him look a tad bit full of himself, and the topic of Mobile phones....God I just hope that He didn't dumb down Skyrim even more than it already was in Oblivion.
