Stop right there criminal scum!

So I was thinking today, instead of in Oblivion when you would steal or pick pocket someone and got caught The guards would automatically know where you are. Hopefully in Skyim you will have a chance to run away and hide behind something or in a shadow. And the guards would look for you instead of running right to you. I hated that in Oblivion.

I agree, i like the "no witnesses, no crime" approach. If you kill someone nice and quietly not to attract attention, why would guards know your stealing, or killing? The witness should run away from you (or fight, call the guards) to look for a guard, maybe run onto the street and yell for help. You could lose the guards in an ally and hide yourself in a bush like you said, and wait it out.

Exactly! There are plenty of games like that.

Agreed. I also don't like that it's criminal to grab items with the Z-button in stores. Instead, the store owners should ask you to keep your hands off if they want you to be careful but if you then keep touching it they may send the guards after you.

Well, if no one wintessed the murder, you wouldn′t get caught. Problem was, it was difficult to kill anyone without anyone seeing it.

lol that reminds me the first time I fired up Oblivion. I stole a silver mug or something, ran into a guard and he was all friendly and calm - So I decided to talk to him and before I cou "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!!" Scared the crap outta me. May have to do with my volume settings or something though :P

I allways try to be as stealthy as i can in oblivion, so if this feature were added, i'd be one happy man! :)

STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM! Talking about how to beat the ommipotent power of us Imperial Guards are you? That's agaisnt the law! I hope you can pay the fine, or IT'S OFF TO JAIL WITRH YOUR [censored]!

...but yeah, to me that was the most annoying factor of Oblivion. I want to kill someone with out being seen, then go outside and talk to a guard like nothing happened.

Yes the telepathic powers of the guards were silly but on the other hand playing as a thief character, was too easy anyway am I right? Even with the guards supernatural powers it was a matter of a couple of hours to get pretty rich, so we have to keep game balance in mind as well imo.
One thing that bothered me but also made me lol was the fact that npcs would freak out when you just touched a spoon or fork and would attack you "We have a maniac here!! :ahhh:
