I am now seeing threads and post that contain spoilers with no tag.

Come on people don't ruin the game in any capacity for those of us who don't want to know anything substantial about the story.

The mechanics are one thing but the achievements and such are pertaining to the story.

I love the forums but I may have to go dark for the next month :/

Yeah I really would like people to use spoiler tags. I haven't even watched the trailers as I want to know as little as possible before I get to try it myself!

Lol, those are the risks you take browsing gaming forums so close to release.

It's a two-sided issue: those who are discussing spoilers need use their brains and tag thread titles and comments appropriately as spoilers much like Magnum Opus did just now, and those who don't want to see spoilers need to understand that the game is two weeks away and spoilers are just going to happen so they need to use their brains too and either be very picky about what threads they open or just go dark since the risk is increasing.

Edit: for example, in the thread about discussing trophies where you thought the op was talking about physical trophies is just...freaking silly. I'm almost positive you know that a trophy would mean an achievement... although, the op didn't even try to use prudence and lacked the respect or consideration to give a warning.

Should be time to go dark really...

I haven't seen any spoilers? And two weeks out the only people that know anything are Bethesda and possibly testers.

If they post it in the title just report yhem, a mod will either delete, edit, or ban the post/user.

While I agree that tagging should be a thing (along with describing the type of spoiler - as certain people do like certain types of spoilers but not others!):

If you really don't want to know anything - shouldn't you "sign off" till the game is released? (like a lot of people on the fo4-reddit seem to be doing)

Welp, it's been real people. With like 3 spoiler topics on the first page that I managed to resist clicking on, it's officially time for darkness. Even if the thread is clearly marked with spoilers, my mind goes into overdrive and I'll jump to conclusions. See you all in like 8 months once I don't care about spoilers anymore.

Could someone tell me how spoilery the trophies actually are? Cause I'm curious and want to peek but also don't want the whole plot explained to me through pictograms and keywords?

If you see a thread that needs a title edit or spoiler tags, report it saying so in the report and a moderator will take care of it.

Oh they're not even that spoilery. Although people should stop posting topics with spoilers as the title. When are the mods going to make a fallout spoiler section?

Also maybe if you don't want spoilers, stay away from main gaming forum perhaps?

The forums help me hold out till release. All I am asking is for people to post spoiler tags in the titles. I don't mind watching trailers or perks ect but leave the achievements and story till the game releases.

To the guy who said I should have known trophies meant achievements ... How the heck am I supposed to know that? I have never heard of them reffered to as trohpies. A trophy is a creature head for the wall.

"Trophies" are what they are called on PS4. I was under the assumption every gamer knew that as well.

Ah... My bad then I guess... I have never touched a playstation. I have only played Nintendo and Xbox consoles the last 15 years. The guy still could have posted a spoiler as his thread was a huge spoiler for the story.

True. There should have definitely been a heads up in the title, whether you knew what trophies were or not.

1. You're on a gaming forum. People post stuff, and sometimes other people consider things spoilers that others don't.

2. The game hasn't even been released yet. The worst "spoilers" you're gonna get is the achievement list or the videos Bethesda is putting out.

What I think needs to be addressed is when people act disrespectfully on the forum. People are allowed to make mistakes. Politely tell them of their mistake without lowering yourself to insulting them.


...it was the achievement list. I forgot to put a spoiler tag on it because most people know what an achievement/trophy is. I also provided a link, with most of the achievements readily visible only being spoilers for quest names. I apologize for any distress the post may have caused you, but I feel like you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

They are called trophies on the consoles.

Regardeless he didn't post a spoiler tag. I hate people that ruin it for everyone. Some dumb guy told me the ending for the last game of thrones episode before I was able to watch it... Drove me crazy.
