There's an update coming.
With the new crafting menus in SkyUI 5.0 my collection of wearable containers are now always appearing at the top of the crafting menu instead of being in their own category. I hate it.
So I'm finally going to give the container crafting its own dedicated crafting menu similar to what Frostfall does.
Now I just need to decide what should trigger it.
I thought about creating a Carpenter's Hammer item that could be crafted at the forge and then opening the container & furniture crafting menu if you equip that hammer. But I don't like to carry around items like that when I play.
I'm now thinking that just using a hotkey would be better. My goal with this mod has always been to only permanently track one key (NumLock by default) as a way to avoid conflicts with other mods.
So my real question now is what combination of activity should open the new crafting menu?
Pressing NumLock while:
A. hovering over firewood or leather in your inventory
B. having the Tween Menu open
C. holding the Left Shift key
D. something else I haven't thought of yet
Any suggestions?
As a reminder that key already:
1. Teleports you to the Storage Cell and back if the Map Menu is open.
2. Opens follower and horse inventories when used on actors.
3. Renames other items if the Left Alt key is also pressed.
4. Starts (and finishes) the item placement feature.
