Store down, how to buy all official plugins

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 2:57 pm

I posted this at another forum, but it doesn't seem to be all that active. Thought maybe someone here might have some ideas.

I discovered too late that I bought the wrong edition of Oblivion when I finally wanted to look into mods (I have had the XBox 360 version a while now). I went on Amazon and got the 5th anniversary edition, having read that you can buy the other eight official plugins seperately, though not how. The deluxe version apparently offers everything, which is what I have on XBox. But I thought it would be no problem getting the plugins seperately.

So I go to the Bethesda Store only to find that it isn't available. A bit of research showed me how they got hacked and a call to customer service confirmed that they don't know when it will be back up as well as other availability problems. I went to direct2drive via the UESP wiki link and the seven minus Fighter's Stronghold are no longer available.

I want all 8 of them (anniversary edition already has Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles). Is there any other way for me to get them that doesn't involve buying another copy of the game? Any thoughts?

If you can find the retail release of Knights of the Nine, it include all the plug-ins except Fighter's Stronghold and the Shivering Isles expansion.

Yeah I saw that mentioned at the UESP site, but I wanted Fighter's Stronghold as well. At the direct2buy site, they no longer offered that, but instead offered a game of the year edition that supposedly includes all of them, but I was hoping to avoid having to rebuy the game itself. Not just cause I spent money already, but also because the 5th anniversary edition offers this unique deal with purchase of Skyrim and the game guide I wanted to do. It could be my only hope, and maybe I could resell it, but it just seems odd that the company that offers them in an online store for download and purchase won't burn a CD of them for a customer willing to pay.

This just reminded me of something. I saw that Oblivion DLC available online topic and the link provided. It sounded like it was offering an alternate link, but it's dated before the hack happened. Is it just another link to the same place? I stopped because the digital identity certificate wasn't offered and Mozilla threw up a warning about it. Thought I'd look into it first. Is it just the store that's down?
