Stores always closed?

I cannot figure out why, but shops are always closed and if I break in during what should be business hours I'm trespassing - yet I can can still do business. Any help provided would be appreciated -

Here's you're culprit, it's already come up on the Oblivifall thread (currently just a few posts threads below this), Cliffworms has posted a hotfix for the problem.

You might want to check the "Losing My Religion" thread, there were some reports about locked shops.

NINJA'D :ninja: at least Funky_Wizard cannot complain about a lack of replies. :D

It's an artifact of a buggy game. That happens most often if you're in a city, any city, around the time the shop should be opening. The NPC will have moved to their shop position but the exterior door does not update it's lock status properly until you've entered the shop. You'll of course find that if you leave, the trespass indicator won't be set anymore.

As an aside, I don't see the KOTN patch for OC in your list.

NINJA'D: Or it could be a bug I wasn't aware of yet :P

Yep, LMR is the evil doer responsible for this problem.
I've just released an hotfix. Added it in the Files tab on the Nexus.

I thought it was the low level processing be really, really laggy? Whenever I'm around, I always see the shops end up opening anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour later then they are supposed to.

Yes, there's often a big lag time when things are working correctly. I've had trespass indicators as long as 2 hours after the shop should be open. The price one pays for having a game brimming with NPCs.
