Sorry for asking such a noobish question, but if I put a bunch of alchemy incredients and other miscellania in the dresser in the room I was assigned in Winterhold College, will it still be there when I come back?

I know houses are for this purpose, but I probably won't be able to buy a house for a while and I can't resist picking up lots of ingredients (even though I don't even know if I'll need them).

Well I wasn't long a college member b4 I got my 1st house but insofar I cd tell, YES.

Theres a chance they will disappear. Its happened twice to me now, but it was always sometime after I hit 20+. Might be related to level or something simpler like time. It is, however, NOT specific to the amount of time the items were in the chest/barrel/whatever.... meaning you can never really be certain when itll happen.
