Do Storm Thralls regenerate health? : V

So I just went back to Skyrim after not playing it in quite a long period of time. I'm thinking about making a lightning based conjuration/destruction mage, that runs around with two storm thralls everywhere. This is the only mage build that I really want to use in Skyrim, but I was put off of doing this back when I played more Skyrim because Storm Thralls didn't regenerate health. I believe the issue was that they didn't actually count as Storm Thralls, but as Storm Atronachs with the timer of a Storm Thrall.

The reason this puts me off is because I don't want to have to go through the massive casting animation of using a master spell everytime one of my Thralls dies due to a lack of health regeneration. Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? If it hasn't then I'll probably go for some other build. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I play on the Xbox by the way, so I can't use mods.

I think it's possibly to make a poison with restore health and damage magicka regen. Invest in alchemy and dagger slash them with it out of combat to heal them.

Thanks for the help, but that doesn't sound much better than having to summon the Thrall again to me :/

I guess I'll go for some other build. Thanks again for trying to help

Why not recast them though? Health regen in combat doesn't do much anyway.
