Stormcloak currency

We could also call them 'cloaks.

That'll be 50 cloaks. Kinda sounds good.

Viking'd?

I still vote Stormcloin, but I'll concede the second point is much more important than the name.

But won't they need to mint their own coins if they become independent? Otherwise, they'll be at the mercy of Imperial mints, which may change the makeup of their own coins and throw the whole thing out of whack.

Yeah but the statement "can I borrow your cloak" would suddenly become very confusing

Exactly.

You'd just say can I borrow some cloaks. Or a cloak. But fifty bears sounds cooler.

I almost said that earlier...

Eventually maybe, but it isn't a dire requirement right now.

 By the nine, she looks like a bear. I wonder if they'd start making silver coins too.

Though to be fair, bears never really struck me as that big of a threat in this game after a certain point. After about level 10, I only got killed by them if I was taken completely by surprise.

Lol, I love reading those. They're rather annoying in my ears due to my headset. And golly, there's so many in Riften!

Considering how much of it is scattered throughout ancient ruins I think the denizens of Tamriel prefer to just stick to the status quo :P

Hey, that'll work. Either that or "Storms" and "cloaks".

EDIT:

Hevnoraak would call them "Yuvons" which is gold in Draconic.

"Another day, another Septim."

"Another day, another Ulfric. "

"Another day, another Bear "

We've gotten so used to Septims right now that it sounds a lot more natural than other names!

"How much for that bear pelt?"
"Five bears."

They'll probably stick with the Septim coins for a while, as they're used to trading with it.

Besides, isn't there a British coin still in circulation with Roman lettering/writing on it despite the fact Rome left Britian centuries ago? And we Americans still have Washington on our quarters, and he hasn't been president for a litte over two centuries.

It's more convienient for the Stormcloaks to use the Septim coins. Besides, isn't the head of Talos/Tiber Septim minted on the Septim coin? They would likely want to keep that image, no? The image of their patron god Talos, when he was still Man?

As for names? I have a few suggestions:

#1- Stormies.
#2- Ulfbears.
#3- Silverblades.
#4- Talos.

Hell, The sixth house used them, I don't see why it would change.

But I say they should rename them "Shiney round things".

I always thought they should use silver instead. Cuz I mean, on the back of the coin it says " The Law is sacred, the empire is law " or something like that.

Morrowind still uses septims and it's an independent province. I doubt an independent Skyrim will change currency.
