Stormcloaks Keep Attacking Me

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 3:20 am

I went to Windhelm for the first time just now and all the stormcloak soldiers started attacking me. I was actually intending on joining them. I even made a dash to Ulfric and he dragon shouted my ass. The other day I did come across some imperials and stormcloaks fighting, and accidentally hit a stormcloak, and had to kill them in self defense, it was in the middle of nowhere though. I would at very least like to be able to move about Windhelm without being attacked by every single guard. If anyone knows how I can change my reputation PLEASE let me know.

Try waiting 24 hours or so, maybe 3 days and go back, not sure if this works in Skyrim but it's worked in all other Bethesda games, worth a try, it may reset your status with the Stormcloaks

I'll give it a try. I forgot to mention that on the way I killed a lone winterhold guard maybe that could be it.

Lol step one, stop killing people.

Also, you could try using a calm or fear spell to make them leave you alone. Yielding by sheathing your weapon and attempting to talk to them also works occasionally. IIRC you need a pretty high bounty for guards to attack you on sight though.

EDIT:^^ good point, if you're wearing anything 'legion' take it off.

Well, I fixed it. It was either one or both of the following. Like I said I killed that one guard, also I forgot to mention that right outside of the city I shot a chicken with an arrow, then it gave me a 40 bounty, and I shot another chicken and it said I killed the last witness (I thought Todd said they fixed that?), but yeah I reloaded, didn't do either and now I'm fine. And yes, my character is a huge ass hole.

Edit: Well I just looked it up, and Windhelm isn't in Winterhold (the hold), its in Eastmarch, so killing that guard wouldn't do it...must be the chickens!
