Story behind Stormcloaks?

It didn't recieve great reviews but I thought it was awesome, and I'm a pretty ruthless film critic.

I too. Maybe I'll throw it on in the upcoming weeks before Skyrim's release.

I think that you'll need to play the game in case you wish to get some more details on them.

I'll have to play the game and meet both factions before I decide for sure, but it kind of sounds a little bit like Game of Thrones where Skyrim is Winterhold. If it's anything like that I will have to help the rebels and push the legion out of Skyrim. If the remnants of the blades have sided with the rebels that might push me towards them as well. Regardless, it is very intriguing!

Rather strange for the Empire to ban Talos worship when he is their patron deity, Tiber Septim founded the Empire after all.

The rebels are of no consequence, soon the Empire will have dragon shouts capable of keeping the lesser kingdoms in line. We will be the ultimate power in Tamriel!

Daedric cults are for individuals. I would assume neither.

Lord of Souls doesn't give any hint to the banning of Talos worship either.
Spoiler
At the least though it does show that Titus Mede and his son Attrebus Mede do in fact mean well. As to their successors though, it says nothing. Attrebus specifically denies accepting some credit for resolving the crisis at the end of the book so that the Synod and College of Whispers can (wrongfully) be given credit for saving the day, to encourage a spirit of unity.
