me story=confused : Crysis

I understand the story of crysis one but im lost on a small part of crysis 2.... i know the game isnt out yet but someone might know. I get that crynet is hunting u for illegally wearing the nanaosuit 2, but don't they have bigger problems than a stolen prototype.... i.e. the alien invasion!!!

Maybe they don't care about the invasion. They're a big company. They probably have deals made with the aliens.

good idea but there is a screenshot of the aliens killing cryney soldiers.... so there not friends and have no deal

We don't have any clue on the actual story yet. We do know they're after you, and aliens are too, but from what I've seen, I haven't got a clue.

Don't forget the huge gap in the story? What happened to Prophet? Sykes? and Dr. Rosenthal? and why did it F.F. to New York? Is Crytek planning to make a prequel to the story like Crysis:Warhead?

There hasn't really been a real story explanation for the community yet, they seem content to let us speculate.

Crytek has been keeping the story pretty well under wraps, which is a good thing in my opinion. There is nothing I hate more than when the developer themselves give out spoilers... =(

Chances are they didn't make many of the nanosuit 2 and they're desperate to get it back. Or there stupid, either one.

i dont think theyre trying to get it back as much as protecting the technology from being reverse engineered by another company. the player could (if it wasnt a video game^^) sell the suit to a contender and crynet would have pioneered technology for almost nothing. same reason your comrades in part 1 were vaporized when KIA -> its not the suit thats so important, its the concept OF the suit that must not fall into the wrong hands.
in the middle of an alien invasion noone cares about protecting your patents, you have to do it the old fashioned way. also powerful military equipment like that is worht infinitely more during a "crysis" like that.
