oh yeah i guess so
but then i guess the story isn't that strong if characters can be replaced that easily
If you're playing "singleplayer", you'll be partnered with the same guys over and over. The story BEHIND what you're doing is strong, but the link with your squadmates isn't, atleast not in MP. That's what I'm trying to tell: Most games are played from the viewpoint of one character and you're always teamed up with the same guys. In
Brink you are the main character and it's all about what you do in combat, not everyone else. (Only storywise though)
Atleast that's how I think it'll be.
I'm pretty sure there will be persistent NPC's... you know, the characters you protect, or hunt, are NPC objectives, and thus always static.
There could also be (and almost certainly are) characters off-mission that are persistent who just aren't in the battles.
Persistent NPC's will probably be the A.I. squad commander. They'll also be persistent if you play SP. However it's confirmed that in MP, players characters will appear.
Maybe everyone will see the same cutscene when it comes to text, but with different characters.
