Story driven areas

Wouldn't it be interesting if they added a tower or cave or something that was like Vault 11 in Fallout: New Vegas where the enemies are simple enough but it has an immense back story that is very interesting and makes you want to find out what happened. Oh and if you feel like it make up your own.

I hope so.
That is one of the things I loved about FO3 that OB was lacking. Almost everywhere had a cool back story.

Yes that would be a great element to borrow. They might have something like that. Hopefully in a hard to reach place.

I'm hoping for lots of cave carvings, since they can't use computers this time around. Books or notes would work well too. Yes, I'd like places to have backstory.

Backstory to a location in an RPG makes equal sense to having guns in an FPS. So a lot of sense.

Off topic, why do FPS games even have a story? The only people who play Single Player is doing it for trophies or to unlock something. Then it is just MP, MP, MP!!!

I'll be brave enough here to say it, even here of all places, but Black Ops had an interesting story, and I liked it. Probably more people than not went strait to mp, but it wasn't the case with me. Also, it'd be strange if a shooter didn't have some sort of story mode. People without live need something to do, after all. But most people play the game for the mp, so that's what the game's going to gear itself towards. Story's probably an afterthought, once the combat is the way they want it.
