Strange attacks at Sanctuary

Post » Sat Feb 27, 2016 1:22 am

My last 3 attacks on sanctuary have had some strange happenings.

First time was raiders, killed most of them but didn't get the successfully defended. Set off looking and almost missed it, raider standing there in the middle of my settlers, under the wailing siren, just chillin'

Next was a pair of yao guai. Killed one by the bridge, ran to the cul-de-sac where I usually find the 2nd, nope and we search. I see what looks like dogmeat walking with the settlers right down the street. Dogmeat, didn't I send you to zimonja? Dogmeat what big teeth you have. ..it was the dam yao guai, just strolling down the street

This time, super mutants. I hear gunfire so I run to the front defenses as the turrets lay down a fusillade towards the low area near the bridge. By the time I get there the fighting stopped, so I climb the wall to observe the aftermath. And there he is, slowly walking right past the turrets and spotlights into the front opening. I jump down now we are face to face, just gazing into each others eyes.

Anyone else seen these passive-agressive enemies?

My bug is one where in certain parts of the map, enemies are just permanently lying down paralyzed and cannot get up. Quick kills but no fun!

I saw a sleeping Deathclaw once. (Little tip, they don't like to be woken up). That is about as passive aggressive as I have seen so far.

I have been seeing this recently also...but not in settlement attackers. Just out in random places mixed with normal fights. Several times just do some normal killing like groups of raiders or something and one doesn't fight...just stands around chillin. I also swear I have been seeing "random spawns" randomly out and about and not in normal spawn locations. Maybe they walked away from tha spot the spawned in but doesn't really seem like it.

I've run into this occasionally in other settlements. It's like they get distracted and forget they are supposed to be attacking or something.

I found a sleeping deathclaw and decided it was a good time to try out my MIRV'd Big Boy since it was in a hollow below some cliffs. Figured being up higher than my target would mitigate the issues with spread and the like.

Was not disappointed in the outcome.
