Strange crashing problem

Hey,

I recently begun playing Morrowind again. Found it very refeshing with some great graphic mods. However these seem to have gotten me into trouble.
As I went around imperial fort moonmoth I had some error messages coming up about some sword. I just clicked continue and didnt have any problems until today
where I was going around Gnisis and kept crashing with the same message: TES3Stream Warning: model "MEshes\w\W_broadsword_imperial.nif tex not found "TX_W_Imperial_Broadsword_blade01.bmp"! Continue running executable. This is followed by morrowind crashing.

I have a couple of mods installed:
MGE
Better heads and bodies
Morrowind advanced
Lgnpc
Official mods from bethesda
Julan ashlander
Darknuts weapons and armors

I can find the first file on my computer in both the downloaded zip file concerning darknuts weapons as well as in my meshes folder but cant find the .bmp file. Ive tried to remove
everyt file named imperial broadsword, meshes file as well as some dda files that seemed to be about imperial broadsword too. I've tried putting the files in into different folders (since darknuts description is a bit odd to me) but all to no avail. Any idea where to go from here?

Ive never had any serious problems with morrowind before. Got a new strong computer (unfortunatedly with vista).

Kind regards
Shaol

Just letting you know I solved it by toying around with the files from Darknut.

I just encountered this problem, and running a search on the broadsword issue led me to this thread. Unfortunately, the OP gave no real indication as to how he fixed the problem. After a few bouts of trial and error experimenting with the Darknut weapons mod, I realized it's actually pretty simple. There's one more step to installing the mod to most other retex mods - once the textures are extracted to the texture directory, you then need to find the folders named "512" and "1024" and choose one. Copy and Paste (or cut) the contents from ONE of them into the textures folder they reside in.

Simple solution. The misleading part is that Darknut's mod is already setup in a "Textures" folder, making it seem as though the directory is all ready to go. It's not. Serves me right for not reading the accompanying readme file :P

Hope this helps anyone in the future who runs into the same problem. May this thread rest in peace.
