Strange environment copies in the sky when sliding

Post » Wed Jun 01, 2011 11:40 pm

Hi.
Before I get to the point, I have been fooling around with the graphics settings a little here and there, but what I am getting right now still baffles me.
When I am sliding (and only when I am sliding) the following effect appears:
Think of the sky removed. Now what you see is copied, put behind what you see and rotated/moved a little (feeling a little drunk) and then the sky is added again.
Since I have no idea what cause this, has anyone ever had the same issue?

Sidenote:
This is in SP only, since MP seems to overwrite most graphic tweaks anyways -.-

I noticed this happens on low settings (CBA to find out the exact setting). IIRC doesn't happen on medium. Doesn't happen on high settings.

hm, tried setting the game to high and very high, but it doesn't happen there
ofc it also doesn't happen on extreme (without my tweaks)

it's gotta be one of these changes:

r_GlowAnamorphicFlares=0
g_RadialBlur=0
cl_fov=75
pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov=75
r_DrawNearFoV=75
r_motionblur=0
cl_zoomToggle=0
r_UseEdgeAA=3
r_TexMaxAnisotropy=8
r_PostMSAA=0
cl_crouchtoggle=0
r_ColorGrading=0
r_SSAO=4
r_VSync=1
e_shadows=1
g_enableInitialLoginScreen=0
r_HDRBloomMul=0
r_HDRBrightLevel=0
r_HDRGrainAmount=0
r_MultiGPU=0

or the changes applied via start parameter
+r_glow=0 +r_DepthOfField=0 +r_Flares=0 +r_TexturesStreaming=0

did some fiddling, but still didn't figure it out :(

Update:
seems it's r_motionblur=0

nothing else to say but: what a shame :/ graphics while sliding bugged if without blur.

I am getting more and more the feeling that Crytek had to rush this game, especially on the PC. I doubt that they were really (completely) proud of what they delivered when they had to. Bunch of broken promises, just for a lack of time - just look at DX11 and the hoards of bugs in the multiplayer system. I guess when you sign with EA you realize too late that you sold your soul.
