Strange FPS drop when Looking down or up.....

I know this is something to do with vsync, because when I turn it off, it works fine but the physics and tearing are THROUGH THE ROOF!!! Mouse acceleration is off. And I'm playing below the "optimized" geforce experience settings.....

So let me explain this more in detail.....

Whenever I look down or up the game fps drops to like 22 and stays like that... When I look up too. I already tried the 64hz fix because it's doing this in vanilla game too. Even though my monitor is 60hz it worked..... And just stopped now. Can anyone help? I know it's not my hardware because it was working fine before.

You don't want this game running at 60 FPS, best to be at 54 or 53 or less. There are a few ways to clamp frame rates, I use the Anit-Lag plugin for SKYSE.

Also, try disabling the gamepad and rumble in game options, better even in the Prefs file.

Tried disabling gamepad and rumble..... Nothing. And what is this plugin that comes with SKSE? Is it antilag.cfg? It doesn't work for me....

Hallo my friend Andrew !!!!!! :icecream:

---------------------------------------

have you changed your Nvidia graphic properties to something funny ?????

and maybe the skyrim-> data properties are a little too high.

first of all delete your skyrim.ini and skyrimPrefs.ini from your (C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim) folder.

after that try those Nvidia settings. ( http://imageshack.us/f/189/08nm.jpg/)

and those skyrim -> data settings: (http://imageshack.us/f/189/m3u7.jpg/) (nevertheless, you should lower your resolution a bit)

make a new character and try with those settings !!!!!!

Did you set the frame rates in the config file for antilag?

Also, make sure that the Nvidia Control panel is not doing any AA. In fact, the less the control panel does the better the game will be.

wouldn't those data settings make the game run less well? Also the minimum AA in the control panel is 2x

EDIT: Lag is fixed in 3rd person now, first person still lags to hell

and yes I did. I'm using the pre set 60 frames max and 2 render ahead

We have equal GPU properties, as i own a Nvidia card too...

Those settings would probably give us a clue, how well skyrim work's with your laptop configuration.

From my post above #4: As you can see the first pictures shows that all Antialiasing properties are off. (all five of them)

...and at the second picture starting skyrim from launcher and going to Data Options, the AA and the AF is disabled !!!!!!

Actually it say: Antialiasing Off (Best performance)

Anisotropic Filtering Off (Best performance)

------------ You Laptop should manage those settings with the 1600x900 resolution

So the minimum AA in the control panel is not 2x !!!! (It's Off or none)

------------

With those GPU you should be able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

Well by going to inspector and clicking none..... there is no more AA. third person lag when looking down is gone. first person is still there....I have vsync as use 3d application setting in control panel, it says passive in nvidia inspector, and game vsync is on too.

PS. whats your steam?

Actually i wouldn't overclock my GPU....with that. (Only mention it !!!!)

From your general Nvidia control panel (Right click at the desktop -> Nvidia control Panel -> Manage 3D settings) choose at the right panel Vertical Sync = adaptive.

--------------

beside that i just got a a new steam update !!!!!

---------------

A new Steam Client update has been released and will be automatically downloaded. The specific changes are listed below.

General
Friends UI error handling fixes.

Big Picture
Fix for italics fonts
---------------
