a strange issue

Post » Sat Mar 16, 2013 8:56 pm

I encountered this issue on my current playthrough. It seemed all npcs who sit on that kind of stool in any taverns, sink into it. Me included.

Idk what is causing it and yes i do have mods but none that affect skeleton/animations. I noticed that i had this problem after installing dragonborn dlc.

Did anyone, even on the console, experienced this bug?

really strange that my current playthrough has so many problems, and i never had so many problems before. invisible arms, ctd, dragon dying for no reason, naked couriers...

I've heard of this bug, but never actually experienced it. I think there is a section in the forums where you might find someone talk about it. I don't know how to fix it myself though.

I saw your other post and even commented on it, I just witnessed this again a little while ago and managed to snap some pics. But other than that, no clue what causes it.

-edit- I just saw it on console. PS3 to be exact, but I have seen it while playing on PC too. All three DLCs in both.

so this issue is also present in vanilla skyrim in consoles too?
i did notice that killing the npcs then resurrecting them, fixed the issue, temporarily. Next time i walk into the inn, they would be like that, sinking into the goddam stool.

i guess i shall back up my saves, do another clean reinstall, and see if this problem happen on a new game. Previous playthrough was fine, with all the same mods used.

Yeah, it definitely isn't a mod problem. It's just a glitch where the game can't tell that the stool is higher than a normal chair, so when it loads, it has them at regular chair height, not the elevated stool height. I'm sure it will be fixed in a patch. No big deal imo.
