I am playing on a new Lenovo laptop (with Windows 8), with a lot of mods, but I've had all these mods on my old laptop and they've never caused anything like this to happen before, which leads me to conclude the problem is either the laptop or the game itself.

The following issues always coincide with eachother, and generally begin to happen randomly after I start to play, usually after an hour or so:

* I am locked in first person, even if I wasn't using first person POV when the problem started.

* I cannot scroll down in dialogue, barter, containers or any other menu and I can only select the first option.

* Book pages will automatically turn, and I cannot close the book or pick it up until I reach the last page.

* I cannot select the options to save or quit, so I have to use the "qqq" command to quit in these circumstances and rely on autosaves.

Those issues can be triggered because the mods - so i would disable them all and start a new character.

btw. have you all unofficial patches installed ???

Try to do a Verify Game Cache Files too.

Actually if you can play other games without freezing, or CTD's or other issues (overheating - loud fan noise), probably your laptop is OK.
