Strange lighting issues in my first Dungeon

Post » Fri Nov 22, 2013 3:31 pm

I created my first dungeon, or part of it so far

I seem to have a problem with the lighting reflections on the floor

Seems there are light and dark square areas.

I can supply pictures or the ESS file if someone could take a look

Thanks

Don

PS

Found no way to attach files or pictures so I can post them on an FTP site or email them

for review, or I can supply a URL to view them

What ever works best

I added this link so you could see the floor effect

Thanks

You will need a couple more posts before you can post links.

As for Cell Lighting, there are a few sources of lighting in the cells, you have a Global Light Value, then you have Light Sources. Light sources are for specific parts of the cells, and may or may not be attached to a sconce or a torch or whatever. So, you adjust the global light to get the cell close to what you want, then fill in with Light Sources to give the shadows and look and feel to the various parts of the cell. See this
