Strange patch changes

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:26 am

First I'm on Xbox 360.

I've noticed a few really weird things after the patch these last few days, and I just wanted to see if anyone else is having these problems.

I am Idolized with everyone accept The Legion, and Powder Gangers with the exception of being "Liked" by the Strip.
So I was messing around in the NCR Embassy when some Military Police trooper said

" Didn't think I'd see you OUTSIDE of the Strip, you think you can mess with the NCR, well think again."
Basically a faction attacking, I let ED-E kill him for no rep loss, but I am idolized with the NCR? I didn't understand what happened. The only bad thing I've ever done in the strip was convert the White Gloves which doesn't effect the NCR at all.

A few other things such as during Beyond the Beef... I didnt get the option to get a different " Meal " then the original. I killed the " Meal " and continued the quest only to end it prematurely... but they were still converted.

In a few Casinos, there were people walking around on the tables, and when they walked off, they were walking on thin air.

But the strangest thing is when I try to gamble at the Tops it says.
InvalidChipCasinoDataList

Is there anyone else expieriencing these??

I think the agressive NCR guy is a bug that could occur before this latest patch. I don't remember what triggers it exactly tho....and as usual, it was one of the ones that was supposed to be fixed in previous patch....
Altho, if you wore any of the White glove wear, that can screw things up for some too...it becomes 'stuck' to you even when you take it off (affecting rep). But if you're still Idolized, that's probably not it.
NPC's walking on air (or your chr) - happens now and then, from the beginning. Just a little graphical glitch.

Don't know about the other two things.

Hmm, then they didn't fix that NCR guy I guess.

I never even put on White Glove Soceity Wear during the quest.
I did it like this
Started the quest with Heck Gunderson.
Talked to Moritmer and asked about Cannabalism thing.
I killed Ted, and framed Heck.
I went back to Mortimer and the quest ended and they were converted. I didn't even have to go get the other person which was weird to me.

Over the past seven or eight months or whatever it's been, I've come to the conclusion that every patch fixes bugs for some ppl, gives those same bugs to other people who never had them before, and creates new bugs for yet other people. YMMV :ninja:

Edit: p.s., I still love the game, but it's definitely frustrating at times.

I've had the same problem. I'm idolized by the NCR and one mp guy says something wierd to me. The other ones i don't know. Also, I have been having a Gomorrah problem. When I entered the Gomorrah I chose to keep holdout weapons. Once I left my companions, Boone and Rex, didnt had only holdout weapons. To test this out to conclude this, i chose to give over all of my weapons and exit. This resulted in my companions being left with no weapons at all. I lost a **** ton of unique weapons, Such as Oh Baby, Knock Knock, Q-35, YCS/186 and a whole lot more. Please if anyone else is having this problem hit me up. I need to know that im not the only one and if there is a solution.

I agree about the frustrating part. I've noticed new bugs in patches as well. Especially with Euclid's C Finder... It wouldn't fire and when I was walking or fighting something one of the strikes would come now upon me and everyone around me.

I don't usually ever give my companions unique weapons, only If I need them to hold it, but anything you don't need store somewhere like the Lucky 38. Also make sure you save before going into Casinos, in my expiercence, they are a bit buggy. ( Sometimes ED-E gets a new weapon coming out of the Tops! )

He appears near the Embassy once you've attained a "Liked" faction reputation with The Strip. I think he might be a leftover from cut content since he has unique dialogue.
