[REL] A Strange Plant

A Strange Plant

Brings the Nirnroot to Vvardenfell.
A simple, non-intrusive and bug-free quest mod.

This mod adds a number of non-respawning, lore-friendly "Nirnroot" plants to Morrowind.
In a questline with multiple stages you will meet Erlandil, an Altmer-Alchemist from Summerset Isle and help him collecting those rare plants.
The quest starts naturaly as you play (by picking-up a Nirnroot) and continues relieable and solid, without bugs or illogical tasks.
I believe the final reward is something to look forward to and to keep you motivated for this rather long quest, wich you will propably have in your journal for a while.

In version 2.0 the Nirnroot is completely redone with hand-painted textures and a new mesh with only 90 polys.

- This mod is cleaned with tes3cmd and is free of any bugs
- You dont need to start a new game
- You can play this at any Level or Class
- Tribunal & Bloodmoon not required

there is one unneeded file in the archieve that i forgot to delete: "Icons\NR_Icon_PlantR.dds" you can remove that icon if you want (but it wont cause any problems if you leave it).

for some reason i can not login to PES hopefully this will be fixed soon.

i would love to hear how the quest is going for you guys, hopefully no problems yet?

iam sure you all use grass mods, did you find any nirnroots that clip into the grass? i hope this wont happen but technicly there should be no grass so close to the water.

i still cant login on PES and received no new password or response to my mails for 3 days, so there better be no problems

I already found 5 of them, so I'm not too far.
But as far as I can tell the plants are visible in ponds or at the water in the Bitter Coast.
Will respond again, when I will be searching desperately for the last missing plant.

Actually I have complete knowledge of the layout of the entire bitter coast and the ascadian isles was easy since its mostly lakes, small ponds and rivers

due to problems with my PES account i now added links @GHF.
i updated the readme and removed a unneeded icon file from the archieve.

dont worry, i didnt change anything else - if you have the PES verion installed that is no problem.

also i added a link to the modders ressource to the first post. it contains:
- the Nirnroot plant
- a lying Nirnroot
- Ingredients (Roots+Leaves)
- Icons

sorry for bumping this thread ... my first GHF upload needs some advertising

I like those signs. Easy to read while maintaining a weathered look. Thanks!

And I'd say nothing wrong with a release thread. Lets more people know.

Hi, nice mod PeterBitt.
The link to the resource leads to an error page.
Edit : both GHF links look dead.
