Strange Power Armor Problem

Post » Fri Dec 04, 2015 5:42 pm

I found a strange issue with power armor. I have several sets and I find that if I use my original set I get the expected weight carrying bonus. However, if I use any of the other sets I get somewhat less than my non power armor max carry capacity. This is using a full fusion core in all sets. Does anyone know what gives?

I had a problem with the Jet Pack, where it would float around my back, rather than being attached to the power armour. It wasn't until I turned off the game and restarted it that it was reattached to the proper point at the back.

Are any of your pieces upgraded to get more carry capacity on your original suit?

If you have high Strength and wear Pocketed or Deep Pocketed armor, it's possible for your carry weight to drop when you get into Power Armor. This is because the bonuses of the layered armor don't apply at all while wearing Power Armor. Power Armor bumps your Strength to 11, but that boost may be less than what you're getting from your Pocketed or Deep Pocketed armor.

No, however, power armor by itself gives you a carrying bonus. Oddly I only get it with the original set of T-45 I found at the beginning. I was hoping to start using this nifty full set of X-01 I found but I am limited to a max carry of 360 unlike my original set which allows me to carry way over 400. I noticed I have the same problem with my partial set of T-51 and my other set of T-45.

My strength is really fairly low at 6 but in any case my first set of power armor works appropriately,

Check your upgrades one of them on the torso is "servo assist" or some such that gives you 20 more carry capacity...you probably have it on your first set and not the others.
