[Request] Strategy guide and artbook

Post » Wed Jan 08, 2014 12:38 am

Dear Zenimax, I hope you will consider publishing an official strategy guide (hardcover, prima quality) and a high quality hardcover artbook. I am a big fan of these collectible books, they're not only useful but also bear a great sentimental value in time.

Regarding the artbook, in case the special (collector's) edition has one smaller artbook included, I hope you also release separately a bigger more comprehensive one (A4 format). Skyrim for instance included the big (and only) artbook inside the collector's edition, but Skyrim's CE was unusually huge, the CE artbooks are usually smaller and paperback. But many people couldn't afford Skyrim's CE price although they wanted the artbook so badly. That's why my wish is you release (like many other publishers) a separate, high quality artbook available to buy in book stores.

Who's with me?

An art book would be neat, but I would prefer a figure of one of the major characters, Molag Bal would be awesome.

I doubt strategy books would be that useful for information since likely gear and skills will be quite a bit different since usually printed guides are made months before the release of the game and during that time the game is still being polished. If the Strategy Book was more of a lore and art book that would be great. But then I would rather see one of those in the Collectors Edition and have an actual books that have been staples of the series. I would love a limited edition of the Lusty Argonian Maids (The Complete Story).

Totally buying guide and art-book. I'm a collector and I have many strategy guides and art-books from WoW, Guild Wars 2, Deus Ex HR, The Witcher, Borderlands etc. Like op said, they're immortal and it's so nice to open an artbook and re-live some great gaming memories of places and events, many years after the said game is... erm... disconnected.

Strategy Guides do not really work for an everchanging thing like an MMO, so no IT is HIGHLY unlikley there will be a Strategy guides. An artbook is possible, but only if it is part of the Collecters edition, which something like that might or might be in it.

World Of Warcraft has strategy guides for every expansion, I have Cataclysm, WotlK and Pandaria all from BradyGames. http://www.amazon.com/Guild-Limited-Strategy-Signature-Guides/dp/0744014174 is also published by BradyGames and is hardback. it doesn't have to be very in depth with skills and numbers, more like an encyclopedia of the universe, lore, races, provinces.

you can go to the Imperial library website, or the UESP for the EXACT same thing though AND it's free plus likley has better information as those Strategy guides tend to have misinformation quite a lot, especially when it comes to lore.
