Stray Dogs In The Home!

Hey all

I can't find anything online specifically about my issue, but lots of people talking about stray dogs stuck in homes.

I did the classic mistake of asking a stray to wait in my house, wanting him to be warm by the fire while I was out battling the snowstorm I found him in. 3 days later and he's now stuck in my house with no option to tell him to hop it.

I cannot "moveto player" the dog outside of my property (seems its "zone" restricted") so that leaves me with the option of either leaving it there or finding another way of removing it. I don't mind killing the dog to resolve this issue, but don't want to lose random occurences from populating in the world because of this one dog.

If I kill the dog using the console command and then markfordelete, will this just affect this one instance of a stray dog? I notice they all have unique FF codes so I'm assuming whatever I do only applies to this actual dog, and should not affect other stray dogs from appearing around the world. Can you please confirm? Are there any downsides to doing this? I have a save prior to all this happening but its 5 levels ago (only level 20) and would prefer not to lose this if possible.

Many thanks in advance

Riv

Stray Dogs are a Random Spawn, so deleting one would be just like deleting an Bandit.

What puzzles me is why do you want to kick the dog out now? Did he poop in the house?

Lol CCNA, not exactly - but he does get stuck in the greenhouse, knock stuff off the shelves and generally get in the way. More annoyingly he just won't stop barking. If one of the kids brings home anything more than a stick insect, we're going to have a problem. Thanks for your response.

There are some mods out there to make the dogs either bark less, or makes their bark quieter. Essential for me in this game
