streamline not working : IV

yes i have obse but whenever i sstart the game its just normal and like when i go to console it says streamline initializing but i dont get a menu seeing what settings i want please help.

If it says "Streamline Initialized" then it's working. You need to hit the ctrl and home keys at the same time to bring up the menu.

Unless it's reporting that initialization failed, in which case we need to know if it's reporting an error.

Most of streamlines settings can be changed through the ini file.

Did you save after trying it last time? Go back to a save from before you loaded it. Once it's read the INI file, it turns off most of the standard messages.

Yes. All you need to do is press CTRL and HOME at the same time. If the HOME key is located on the keypad, make sure NUM LOCK is off.

Try typing "sqv slini2" into the console.

See if it says the quest is running?

You have to activate it in the Launcher or with OBMM.

He didn't say you were retarded. You never said you activated it and for all he knew this was the first mod you've ever tried to install so he was just making sure you knew.

Do you have a no-cd patch applied to oblivion? That will cause OBSE to sometimes not work.

but yeah i got a no cd patch and dont suspect that i pirated cuz i payed like the rest of you

Make sure you install the correct esp in the data folder. You also need the streamline directory in the data folder (it has subfolders also and the sli.ini which has all the options). I assume you are using thed latest beta version?

Are you sure OBSE is working then? Do you have other mods that use it? It says right in OBSE's readme that no-cd cracks can cause it not to work (though I would think it would prevent your from starting the game at all if you are using the OBSE launcher).

Did you install the latest patch for streamline? I don't know why the menu hotkeys aren't working for you, you didn't change them in the ini, did you? Try changing any settings you want in sl.ini and start a new character to see if the mod is working.

How are you launching the game?? Launching Oblivion normally will NOT load obse.

To launch:
Use OBMM (loads obse),
or OBSE launcher,
or if you use Wyre Bash click the launch oblivion at the bottom (making sure the obse box is checked first).

The streamile folder need to be in the data folder. The streamline.esp needs to be in the data folder (which it is based on the factthat you saw it initializing).

I think you can change the hot key for that in the ini too.
