Streamline

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 4:25 am

Hi,

I'm wanting to use Streamline for buffer purging mainly.
On TESN there is a reference in the entry to a thread on here but I cannot find that, does anyone have a link.

The reason I'm not just DL'ing is that I believe v2 is the stable version, but I want to be able to confirm that and if it is where is version 2.0 because it is not on TESN, only the 2.1 esp - (which is useless without the rest) - and the 3 + 4 beta versions are there.

So I need to find the thread to confirm I am to use, if it's 3 then cool, if not then what?

Cheers!
Mat :)

Unless you need Streamlines automatic graphics setting tweaking, would kuertees "Auto-save and time" be better?

If you want Streamline, use #3, and then make sure to tweak it appropriately: http://tescosi.com/wiki/Streamline

Only if Kuertee's purges buffers...
[EDIT]: Which it does...
...interesting...

BTW, whichever one you pick, you'll soon grow to love the cyclic autosave both those mods have, and become vastly annoyed at games that don't have it. No more "Oh no, it's crashed/I died/it bugged and I haven't saved for three hours" :D

Yes indeed, that's an unplanned for side-bonus of them.
Think I will go for Kuertee's, his PCB has been re-enabled for the latest release and it seems to have a lot more useful stuff. Also I've heard a lot of mixed reviews of Streamline...

I dropped Streamline long ago for kuertee's mod. I originally moved to it on Ilius' suggestion because of the Timescale feature, but then that saving feature just made Sreamline redundant (especially after OSR, I don't use Streamline's other features). Tekuromoto has an excellent Timecaling mod too, but to save esp slots, I just chose kuertee that does it all.

I care most about PCB. I hadn't realized that PCB had been enabled in kuertee's mod. Good to know. I don't use time scaling though... Is kuertee's PCB better than Streamline's? I also like that Streamline can cycle through up to 60 autosaves, as opposed to 20.

If my memory serves me well I recall that the Streamline mod was shut down for a reason unknown a least the upcoming Streamline 3.11 anyway, but I quite sure that you can find Streamline somewhere else. Wait here it's an http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=2684.

There's also Wrye's BAIN-ready version upload: http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=22170

@Illius: Seems you are having too much fun in Skyrim to grace these forums. A summon spell was indeed needed ;)
