People definitely overestimated what would be shown in these. I expected nothing more than a neat little tutorial on each of the SPECIAL stats done in a cartoon-y way. In that sense it was clearly not going to give any Huge new information, considering we all saw the SPECIAL descriptions in the E3 footage on screen on the Pip boy and Aptitude test.
Some people don't like going back to hearing relatively little about a game before its release. With the way Skyrim, and a ton of other games nowadays do it, Constant outpourings of gameplay and Marketing deals with game journalists are expected and in some cases demanded. One Fellow on the Subreddit the other day even pulled the ol "How DARE they Not release the QC footage to everyone?!!"
Maybe I'm more patient than I thought, But I could easily and happily go the rest of the 2 months till release with nothing from Bethesda. These little SPECIAL Clips are just icing on the cake, IMO.
Cute, if ultimately unsatisfying.
Kind of like my ex. *rimshot*
Ha that was entertaining. Can't wait for perception.
I agree with remmus and Frank the bunny (unless they've changed there mind), The way it was cut made me think it was just part of a whole stat's movie.
Easy call to make cause I will be shown to be dead wrong if I am when the next one comes out. (and it looks like it fits together or not)
But I do wonder if this might actually be something we see in game instead of Doc mitchel/ or baby book... we watch the full movie and then mark our stats down.
In Image 3 of http://imgur.com/a/IT41iyou can see the shape of the table and Welding tanks in the third and fourth slots for Strength.
Stupid slow internet still waiting on pics (your theory seems more plausable) heheh still I will go down with the ship and fall on my sword and admit if I am wrong..... No wait thats not like me I will blame someone else........ Ohh look there the Cheshire Khajiit on the who is reading list.
Points finger it was him
Oh ya thanks for the image still link its cool as uhh an icy nuka cola
Ooh that was cool! Gave me the same tingly sense of excitement I felt back in 2008 when Bethy showed those black & white prewar 'duck & cover' videos to promote Fo3. It definitely is good to be back!!
Entertaining, but kind of leaves me wondering how did Vault-Tec know about supermutants/behemoths.
I think they did kind of blow it there. Other Vault-Tec vids are obviously meant to have been made pre-war. This one is better quality and shows enemies that only show up AFTER the bomb. Just screws the Vault Boy lore all to pieces but it's like Bethesda just doesn't care anymore.
Obviously, this was made by Vault 35, which was populated by filmmakers who went out and documented the Wasteland. Their Vault opened very early, but they still use it as a sound stage and editing bay, the Overseer uploading the footage to Vault-Tec/the Enclave's bases.
Well, they did blow it there quite obviously, it's just the level of logical integrity you can expect. I just didn't want to say that outright to not offend some certain people
!!!
That's a sound theory. Video uploaded to RadTube, huh?
Vault-Tec also predicted https://content.gamesas.com/bsw_cms_asset/69160_2_1.png.

yeah, that. It's a cute promo video, not an assault on The Holy Lore?.
(and, to go along with the "but we didn't learn anything new!" folks - it's a video targeted at new players, not forum dwellers)
I'd say that's more of a reason to show off at least one perk or two then. Inform a new player and give them a good idea of what kind of perks to expect in the attribute presented. After all, they would have even less of an idea of what perks entail than those who merely speculate about them (and are honestly just as uninformed as well, but at least have enough of an understanding about Fallout to make such speculation). That would just make the video all the more informative and add more entertainment to how the perks are presented. Not asking for Bethesda to release a heap of information, as I don't want it to be entirely spoiled, but a basic preview of some perks would have been appropriate enough for the video and even more helpful for any new player.
