Strictly speaking, is my char a Paladin?

He's a warrior that ended up, through the passing of time, taking a liking to Alteration and Restoration. Though those two schools are typical to a Paladin build, so is heavy armour. My Nord, though he can use heavy armour, favours light armour and that's the only armour skill tree he has perks in. He also favours 2h (making magic combos at his magic skill level sort of awkward sometimes).

Guess it is. It resembles Arinbjorn (my character), although he's a mystic warrior rather than a Paladin, because of the addition of Enchanting, and his preference for Teleporting and Blink spells.

I'd say that is up to you, if you want to call yourself a paladin. Not a whole lot of rigid things like that. I would just have called myself a warrior-healer or something like that. Something simple and straight forward.

Sounds like a Paladin to me. As said above, you can call him whatever you like. Most of the skills you mentioned fit the Paladin build. It's all about how you decide to play him.

Also, at the "strickly speaking" part, a Paladin can be very many different variants of that same concept. The essence seems to be a warrior that utilize healing, protective and anti-undead magic. Being trained with armor, weaponry and restoration and alteration would fit the essential skills commonly tied to it.
