how do i become idolized by the strip i've never done this before and am wondering how to do it i know you get fame for walking out of the lucky 38 but im not sure how much fame

By completing every quest on The Strip (Micheal Angelo's quest bumps you up an entire rep level IIRC), or by donating ALOT of Vault Suits to Sarah Weintraub.

Do the casino quests helps. That should actually bring a long way.
Helping Sarah at Vault 21 to some vault suits gives a small boost and Micheal Angelo's photo making quest should also reward you some.
