Yeah, the same Interplay that got bought out, had Brain Fargo leave, and then got two french brothers running the show instead, who didn't pay their employees and cancelled Fallout: Van Buren just to create games like Fallout: BoS instead. Hehe. Not the same Interplay, really.

I have to say the Eastern BoS, who knows what has happened over there since NV, all the slavage pre-war tech and with so many supporters? Who knows, just my opinion.

There is literally no evidence that MZ is canon. The game treats it as if it never happened, there is no special dialogue where you can offer alien tech to BoS, nothing at all. Unless some idiot at Beth decides to somehow make it canon we can just ignore it the same way FO3 does.

They did have some help from West Tech and the sheer luck that the fev in Mariposa wasn't vaporized in the explosion.

Which says nothing about their scientific capability. Besides, who originally funded West Tek?

Just one more reason why, if there is any justice in the world, that Mothership should not be canon.

So phrases like this don't enter into Fallout lore.

Of course FO3 doesn't mention any of the DLCs in the base game, but they are still considered cannon. And, you are forced to join the BoS and defeat the big bad Enclave. On a different note, mabye Todd will force alien-superpowers into FO4 in place of TES Dragon Shouts so the PC can fight back against the Enclave/alien alliance alongside the BoS/Innstitute/Prime2.0 /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Who said that they are still considered canon? Unless they reference them in the next game in a serious manner it's all up to your head canon. Obsidian said OWB was not to be taken seriously, meaning you can just ignore it in your head if it doesn't fit your image of Fallout. I'm fairly certain Bethesda thinks the same of MZ even if they did not care to say it.
You really seem to hate Todd Howard, which I can understand, but remember TH didn't write the terrible dialogue and the plot-hole ridden "kewl" action movie plotline for FO3. The writers should be blamed for that, even if Todd was like "bawwwl I want to kewl stuff I dont give a [censored] about Fallout" a good writer would still be able to create a story that would satisfy both Todd and the old Fallout fans. Take NV for example, most fans of the original Fallouts love it and Todd can't complain about the lack of cool since you can conquer the Mojave with a monocycle robot army.

They really said that? Hmm, never felt OWB to be out of place tbh, especially because it really explains some important events (nightstalkers/cazadors in the Mojave, Father Elijah, Cristine Royce, Dead Money story etc.).

Mother crap Zeta however... bah, such an atrocity.

The NCR. They are best organised, thier recruitment and training is practical and they even produce their own weaponry.

Plus they have the Boomers with their knowledge on air support.

Some of their top guards are also starting to use power armor so in time I'm sure they master that and maybe even produce their own. I can imagine in time seeing a platoon of high spec Ranger elites wearing olive green / camourflaged power armor to back up the conventional troops.

I voted Legion.
I have not played any Fallout Games not made under Bethesda. The faction that controls the Midwest has a very large advantage a Coastal Faction will not have, the ability to grow food without sacrificing an existing industrial capacity. Farm equipment can run with fusion engines, any army marches on its stomach. I would rather be eating a nice Steak and fresh bread than having to scavenge from the local populace to just survive. being able to trade for local services with something everyone can use makes a population much easier to integrate, a local will not be as angry when the troops leave and all of thier food is still there, thier crops are not destroyed, and thier family is still intact, unless they are Raiders.

First off, NCR does not make their own weapons. They buy old world weapons from folks like hmm The Gun Runners.

Their training svcks.

They do not create any tech.

But who does/did? The Enclave.

Oh and forgot. The Boomers are not in the NCR. They are an independent, fate to be determined.

This is like saying the US doesn't make its own weapons because they buy them from private companies like Colt.

The gun runners make their own weapons, they make a big deal over this.

Yes, from old world weapon designs. They do not construct or even improve upon old weapons. Basically they are making functioning replicas of 200+ year old weapons.

Enclave created new tech and improved upon pre-war equipment.

That was my point. Gun Runners did not create a 12.7mm pistol. They just copy them. Enclave actually created the Curling -13 and created APA.

Yeah but the NCR is creating new weapons from 200 year old designs. The Legion isn't. So what if the design is 200 years old? It's not like it's out of date or anything. I guess if you do what you are doing and comparing it to the Enclave which created new weapons then yeah the Gun Runner's weapons are out of date. But to everyone else they are pretty modern.

Also the NCR's training svcks? Last I check they kicked Navarro's ass and are winning against the Brotherhood of Steel in California. Sure the BoS might not be as advanced as the Enclave but they are the second most advanced. Ok they are the third most if you count the Shi.

Again, it is the Gun Runners who make the weapons. They are a contractor that the NCR buys from. The NCR doesn't have their own weapons factories, if they did they wouldn't need to buy them from GR. Therefore, at any time, the GR could choose to stop selling to NCR, and sell to someone else, if the business opportunity arose that gave them the option.

The NCR defeated an Enclave camp. We don't know how well it was defended, but we do know it happened after the Enclave lost the rig and after Enclave went east to DC. Basically, you are saying the NCR is good at kicking someone while they are already down, and hardly shows any skill.

All I see from NCR is they excel at using troops like cannon fodder, a strategy which is a recipe for disaster.

The United States Military doesn't make their own weapons either. They have companies to make their weapons for them. The Gun Runners are NCR's version of Lockheed Martin.

The Gun Runners could have contracts with the NCR. Yes it is true that if NCR stopped buying from the Gun Runner, the GR would go out of business. But as I said the USA doesn't make their own weapons either. The NCR has access to newly built weapons that are pretty much modern weapons thanks to the Gun Runners. Which also helps the economy. No other faction has such access to newly built weapons.

The Van Graffs were going to sell energy weapons to the Legion but NCR made a better deal.
