Strongest warrior (for the long-run)

Post » Wed Jun 26, 2013 10:12 pm

Strength is something i have a lot of respect for but after thinking for some time about the races of tamriel i find it hard to choose the best race.

Most of the time mer ( except orcs) are considered weak and men usually being the warriors. But elves have a long lifespan ( 500 years i think). With that much time on their hands they can become legendary warriors. The humans only live for about 60 to 70 years which is nothing compared to mer.

I know the bosmer are considered the weakest but they're archers which needs some strength where the altmer prefers magic which needs no strength so...

I've also read somewhere that mer has a weaker bone structure which would explain why they are not usually warriors but i don't know if this is a fact since the mer has a wide variety of races. Even the dremora has an elven appearance and they are the strongest by far (i guess).

Orcs are extremely strong but live even shorter than men because of their curse so that's not really long term.

I just want to know what you guys think would be the strongest (long term) warriors.

Dunmer, Redguards, Nords, and Orsimer are consider among the strongest, you could probably also count in Argonians. As for the strongest of the races? Doesn't matter, there could be weak members of a race which instantly destroys that race's right to be claimed "the strongest" so yea. Personally I think the Orsimer (orcs) are the strongest because of how brutal the Orcs can be since their culture is all centered around strength and physical prowess.

It matters.

Lets take the three "strong races" Orsimer, Nords, and Redguards (we arent debating this again Cider!)

The Orsimer have had an excistance of being attacked. It takes the Redguards and Bretons to combine their strength and siege them for multiple years to break their strength.

The Nords are ferocious warriors who use terror just as well as an axe. They managed to control nearly all of northern Tamriel (though never effectively hold it)

The Redguards are in Tamriel because they fight so well. First they destroy their homeland with a war and then they cut a bloody swath into Tamriel.

The others:

The Dunmer dont really have too many military feats to speak of. Their war with the Dwemer was cut short with their enemies disappearing in a puff of smoke. Their war with Tiber Septim was mostly won through diplomacy. On top of this its hard to get an accurate representation of their strength when they were lead by actual gods for a good length of time.

The Argonians only managed to pay the Dunmer back after they united. However they are capable of defending the interior of their homeland

The Altmer may not be physically strong, but their use of the Arcane is unrivaled and they have the best navy in Tamriel.

____

The Khajiit and Bosmer have a history of fighting eachother over border disputes. The Bosmer are constantly invaded by Colovians and have historically called upon the Altmer for aid. The Khajiit dont seem very warlike, the same goes for the Bretons.

The "Imperials" were often busy fighting eachother until a strong arm comes along and convinces them to fight someone else. Even then they are often aided by Nords, and later on, other members of their conquered land

You can make the same case about the nords, the nords continuously fought each other whenever there wasn't an heir and it took a strong arm to unite them, also they are usually aided by the colovians since colovia has had a long history of holding falkreath.

So i guess it's the orcs then. Too bad they don't live that long though. This means they will quickly become old and weak.

They did have a empire that was larger then Septim's and they were only defeated when Yokuda sunk.
