I'm struggling with creating a male Redguard.

Post » Sat Aug 31, 2013 6:11 pm

It's just.. the more I search for Redguard characters on tumblr, google and the like, the more I see that all hair + beard combinations have been covered.

Sure, you can give him a different war paint and work on his face, but that still doesn't seem to make him clearly distinguishable from what someone else may have done.

I don't believe that should be impossible to be done because I have characters whose doubles haven't been spotted so far, and I don't even think there will be.

Your character may look similar to others, but its your story that counts.

I was incensed to discover that my female Stormcloak looked a lot like that Ulfric fangirl Hjermir. :stare:

Keep tweaking. If you're satisfied with his look, that's really all that matters. Give him some unique rp characteristics and quirks and he'll take on a life of his own.

These are the answers I support. You are rather restricted to game settings on physical features, but not backstory/story telling.

Don't worry. I was finally fed up with her, and allowed "you know who" to get his third victim.

Heh, I wouldn't kill her. She's right after all. :D And a female smith, so. It's just like showing up at a party in your new dress and she's wearing it.

Anyway, Hjermir is no competition for the dragonborn. Dat thu'um.

On topic, redguard males are hot.

I've made many manly looking Redguards, in fact redguard is probably my second favorite race to play in skyrim because the men I made look sixy and manly as hell...and I'm not one for strong, rugged men.

I wish there was an age slider in TES. Don't like how my Nord character looks like he is 40 sometimes. Redguard, Breton and maybe Bosmer males seem to be the only ones who look like they are under 30.

I actually made a Redguard that looked like Tupac once :dmc:

Why does it matter that your character looks similar to someone else's?

Don't search for other Redguards. ;) Like others have said, the CC only permits that much variation, so go with something you like and don't care about the others.

I made a Dunmer who looks like a red-haired Teldryn Sero - long before I knew what Teldryn looked like! If I ever play him, that has opened up some RP ideas for me.

(Also, my Dunmer witch is shamelessly based on Karliah's face. But with some minor tweaks, another hairstyle, and the weight slider at the other end of the scale, she looks unique enough to me anyway.)

I tend to base my characters looks off of characters from TV shows I watch. For instance, my imperial looks like Oliver Queen.

When making a Redguard you have to use all facial options and change pretty much everything to stop him looking generic. For example, the guy to the left of my reply I fashioned around an Arab, mainly fashioned around Saladin actually. He looks totally different to my African looking Redguard or other Arab Redguard. I wish I could give you more advice but you just have to play around with ALL of the options. Good luck.
