Stubborn Moments

I just had my most stubborn session of Skyrim to date. I'm playing on Expert. No potions in battle, just healing if I can get away and do it. I'm a level 10 breton, heavy armor and a greatsword. Basic dwarven gear. I am traveling from point a to point b and decide to stop into a cave I pass. Bloated Man Grotto. A place, strangely, I had never been. So, I had no clue what was in it.

First thing I run into is two sabre cats. I'd admit I'm not very good, but I also think I was too low level for two sabre cats at once. After a few deaths I luck out and ill them. I save, and go on in.

If you dont remember whats in this cave. There's four sabre cats, two pairs. A cave bear, four spriggans (two at once too), and a handful of wolves. For my level and build and ruleset. This was very hard.

I saved after each encounter of beast, lucky cause the next encounter I would die a few times. Each save thinking it couldn't get worse.

I was very stubborn through it all. I should have left the cave for a later date. I would not allow myself to leave though, or to lower from expert, and as much as I wanted to, and this one pained me the most, I would not pause time and drink potions. I wanted to pull my hair out. It felt like dark souls skyrim edition with how much I died. (it felt like, dark souls is harder, level 76 in that right now).

Has anyone had really stubborn moments in Skyrim?

There have been several moments where I would just want to run away from a dragon, but decide to stay and fight.

What can I say, Blood Dragons are annoying at lower levels.

I have these plenty of times.. I am fairly new to skyrim and always save before each encounter anyway I hate these moments and often end up throwing my remote at the wall.. heck.. I never change my difficulty.. half the time i never have healing potions also because i forget to purchase them before i leave town.

Oh yeah, Bloated Man's Grotto will [censored] your day up if you're low leveled.

Bears, sabrecats, and Spriggans are not my cup of tea. I don't even like tea!
