I'm sure since Hearthfire on starting a new character that when I save in a crouch/sneak mode then start the game again that I'm stuck in the crouch posture without the sneak mode on, I can't stand up straight and can't sneak. I've tried re-loading, walking through to another area and also tried turn off the console but stay stuck. it's happened just before the bear in escape from Helgan and maybe outside the cave when crouching by the rock as the dragon is overhead.

So far i've had to go to a previous save or start over.

Thats one way I know how to fix it, there is another way. I know that if you save your game in the crouch postion and then turn your game off then back on and reload it, it will keep you in the crouch postion untill you reload it without turning off you game( basically your reloading it twice). this way you dont have to go back to a previous save.

When I was stuck in the crouch position I tried re-loading and it didn't change anything, also turned the console off and loaded and still in crouch.

I've had this happen pre-dawnguard and hearthfire. I reloaded a save game and it fixed. Maybe try another save, something could of glitched before it actually happened.

This happened to me once, I sat in a chair that fixed it.

I went for a swim but was back in crouch when I came out the water, didn't think anything would have worked. I'll have to deliberately make it happen again if i can and see what works but where I was was nothing much to interact with, no chair to sit on.

Another weird thing was I saved a game outside a cave with the name on the cross-hair, then loaded a different character in a different location, when the cross-hair wasn't on a target or object the previous game cave name would be on all the time, it was gone after when turned off and started the machine again.

I had a weird glitch ages ago where the camera went and changed view, that was fixed by mounting a horse, if you have one handy maybe it would work on this glitch as well.

It happened in the cave during "Escape from Helgan" so I sneaked out and went for the water was attacked by bandits and still in that position, then went for a swim where my hero did swim but coming out of the water was back to crouch. Not sure if I saved and turned the 360 machine off and on would have solved it which it does with other weird stuff. I would have been a long crouch walk to Whiterun stables from the cave exit.
