So yeah, I am currently in that room with the 3 doors and the glass wall. I can't use either one of the doors and I have no idea what I am supposed to do. Can someone help?

Same problem over here. Spoiler wise, I am on the Brotherhood of Steel. I have entered the institute. Quest wise it tells me to get on the elevator. I have done that. I am in the room with Shaun. All the doors in that room are inaccessible or require a key. I cannot interact with the doors or shaun.

I have gone back to prior saves re done everything, but still am at the same point with regards to the quest institutionalized. I can't advance the main story at all.

I have additionally gone and leveled more and done other quest lines, but when I travel to the institute, it is the same.

Anyone know what to do with this issue?

Must be a bug.. You're supposed to be able to talk to the kid.

I had this until I realised i had to go right up to the glass point blank and the option to talk to the boy shows. I`d went back to the elevator before trying again so not sure what the trigger was.

After talking with the kid, my first set of conversation options with Father ended up seeming like we were on good terms, but nothing happened. I had to talk to him again which triggered a 'start over' type conversation that quickly went back into an exact cloen of the conversation we had before. I had to pick different options to advance the story, otherwise there is just nothing else to be done there...except maybe start shooting.

This the quest with the dad dude with the thingy on his head? I think you have to hit buttons around the room or something.
