Stuck at level 1.

Post » Sat Oct 09, 2010 9:50 pm

Hello, I've got a repeated issue after I completed my rushed character at level 16, played on hardcoe mode, finished storyline.

Issue:
I'm stuck at level 1!
Whatever I try to do won't solve it.

Following steps have been made to try to fix the issue:

- Creating several new characters -- Failed
- Skipping tutorial / doing tutorial -- failed
- Keep playing -- Failed / In progress I'm at about 7000 exp / 200 exp, so I'm pretty sure this isn't working.
- Clearing cache. -- failed

I have a X-Box 250 gb slim, Halo reach limited edition. I have not experienced ANY other bugs except this one, except one hardfreeze on me during a loadingscreen. no harm caused. (20 hours played)

Answers would be appreciated.

Maybe you should do a complete uninstall (saved game files and everything) and start completely over.

Well since it's an X-Box, what does it matter? I haven't installed it to the harddrive.
I tried doing several characters as stated above. Did NOT work. (tried 3 times)

Try clearing your cache and don't update your game you wont be connected to xbox live but give that a shot mabey the patch was corrupt. If that works try updating again.

Same problem here too, I do however have a solution but this comes from a third party source and i have not personally tried it (due to the fact i refuse to start over and would rather sell the game if it came to that). You have to delete ALL your fallout: NV save games and start fresh, that should solve the problem, I think its due to the fact from a previous Game i was level 30, and i think when you start new the game it confuses itself and accidently carrys on levelling you from the previous character, for example, if i completed the last game at level 26 i would only make it to level 4 on the next character and ill be capped at that level, considering the max level on the game is lvl 30, me, due to being level 30 on the previous character i stuck at lvl 1 on the new one, and i refuse to start again considering im already 4 hours into the new character  . Also you could try the other problems people have encountered, where they left sunny springs and the final chance box didnt pop up where you can make any last changes to your character, hence them being capped at lvl 1 as you cant level up on the first part of the game where you do the tutorial untill you leave further into the wasteland, hope i helped. And any staff who work for gamesas who may be reading this, GET A PATCH SORTED FOR IT! :brokencomputer:

I will be very happy if I can play through once. Go play another game and wait for them to patch this one.

Do so, you WILL notice the difference. Had the same problem last night, I just fast-traveled to a friendly area and BAM! level.
