Stuck in Little Lamplight : Fallout 3

I don't know what to do.I got the locations from the scribe ,rescued the kids from paradise falls and still no option for 87.What am I missing?

Did you talk to Mayor Macready after entering Lamplight? He's the one who has the dialogue about getting into Vault 87;

After talking to Mayor Macready also talked to Joseph he seems to get the Vault 87 conversation started. I also had this same trouble even after talking to everyone, so I left Little Lamplight and when I came back in a few days the option to go to the Vault was there.

Just reading the name of your topic gave me shivers, to be stuck in Little Lamplight with all those bratty kids. I would rather be stuck in Dunwich Building.

Yes I talked to him and he didn't say anything about 87.This is my 2nd try with this quest and I'm getting really annoyed.

I left them home.I checked online and tried all suggestions i could find.I've never used cheats but ---------

Yes,the only mention of 87 is to say I have to go to murder pass but it blocked so the little ones don,t get hurt or something like that.No option as to who can open it.

You tell Macready you want to use Murder Pass and he'll send you to Princess who guards the back gate. She should open it for you.

Nah, most of the Lamplighters are all right. The only real snots are Macready, Princess, and maybe Sammy. Eclair's got a bit of attitude, but I can live with that; he's just stressed from having to feed so many kids with so little food.

I am going to go and talk to everybody 1 more time but if that doesn't work does anybody know a cheat to open the gate at Murder Pass and can you walk me through how to do it since I never used cheats before.If I have to do this I'm really going to be pissed off! :banghead:

If you're on the PC, just walk up to the gate, open the console, and type "activate player" which should open the door. Better yet, go to the other door by the terminal, open the console, click it, and type "unlock" then go through that door.

How do I open the console and why can't I unlock the gate?Isn't it the same as a door?Sorry if the questions seem obvious but I've only had a computer for a short time.

I think I figured out how to open the console with the ~ button but I type unlock and nothing happens.Am I supposed to hit something after that or what.Step by step please.If I can't finish the main quest I might as well go back to Dragon Age.I really don't feel like starting over.

Open the console, click on the door, type unlock, then close the console. Door should be unlocked.

There must be a way out of this. The Wiki has documented very similar sounding issues...check out -

YAY! It worked.Took a little playing with it.Everytime I switched it back I fell through the floor but I think I got it now.Thank you Winawer.The tcl did it.Off to Murder Pass I go. :foodndrink:
