Stuck in rivet city

So er, I somehow managed to screw something up pretty badly.
I recently started a new game, so im only 3 or 4 hours into the save.. so somehow i doubt its save corruption :\

Right - I am in the rivet city marketplace running around collecting stuff running errands ....
I come around and attempt to leave, to outside, and I ctd. I try setting FWE down to 1h cell respawns, figure that might be the problem, but after waiting it still crashes.

So, I figure it must be something ive done semi-recently.. and well, the only thing I can figure that affects directly outside of rivet city is the weather mod i added.. Well, not sure really, and I figure by giving you the load order that might be more useful than trying to explain everything, so here I go:

I think thats it..
Im not incredibly attached to this save, if its unrecoverable thats no problem, as long as I learn something from the loss

I should mention I get semi-random CTD on at least an hourly basis.. I blame my affliction to hit the quicksave button every minute or so >.> I hear thats fairly 'bad', but i cant help myself :x
Hopefully something can be learned from this, would be disappointing if not

It would be the UF3P Broken Steel patch as it sounds familiar. http://www.mediafire.com/?z3qmlzyzomy. It's not on Nexus so I had to Google it. Overwrite the other one and that should fix it.

That worked. Spectacularly. This is me attempting to express the gratitude for fixing my game.

Oh, and random tagalong question: What does a merged patch do? >.>
Somewhere i read that fwe/eve/wmk need to be merged to work properly together with fo3edit, so since then ive taken a liking to making a new merge patch for each mod i add..Surely this cant be that much worse than quicksaving now and again, and it doesnt particularly take up much time (maybe a another minute or so to do it), but is it required?
Will it even help most things at all?

Disable your auto-save until you get to the other side of the bridge. I've run into the same problem before and it turned out that saving the game at point was the cause.
