Hello, so im stuck in the room where you interrogate the captive. Ive killed him, the woman's gone and the doors locked. Now this is on my 40hour + character and this is the only save I have for him (I saved it in the room, the auto-save is me waiting in game to so see if she'll come back.) now if there's no way to get out I really cant be bothered and may stop playing.

First off - Your ONLY save? Thats just dumb dude, especially in a game with this many bugs. I have about 5 saves running for my main character that I jump between, just in case something happens.

Why did you kill him?? You were only suppose to rough him up. I take it you had a lot in unarmed? Cause I had to beat on the guy for like 10 minutes myself and he never got close to death.

Don't you have an auto-save where you entered the terminal? Why not revert to that?

I cleaned/sorted???... my save files because my PS3 memory was full.
I beet him to death because I wanted History points with Boone; you get +1 for doing so.

You could simply use the console t-...oh wait.

I would use the ~ while in the game to open the command line and then the "player.moveto " command. I have found that a lot of reference ID's do not work, when they should, but I know one that does work and it is for James Garrett in the Atomic Wrangler. If you have already been there and do not mind slightly cheating just go to the command line via the ~ key and type "player.moveto 0010d8e6", without the quotation marks of course. This will teleport you to James Garrett. I hope this helps.

Oops, I missed you saying that in the very first post. If you have a USB Keyboard you could give it a shot on the PS3. I know it was supposedly said to work on Fallout 3 but never made it to the release version of the game.

@ OP - Go into third person at the window and try to open door from outside by rotating your camera. Look up how to loot Dad in Fallout 3 if you don't know how to do this. Best of luck.

Hmmmm. I think theres a terminal somewhere around there. Do the third person trick to the terminal. Maybe you can disengage lock.

Sounds like the game is broken. Lesson learned: the importance of having different save game files. But the good thing is, you get to start over and do it better this time around! (pick better perks, better SPECIAL... etc.)

I love this exploit. The unique Plasma Rifle at the ROBCO HQ was loaded incorrectly and was at the bottom of the floating chamber (which you cannot walk through) and I could not grab it. So I did the exploit and it worked. Later, I was on the This Machine unmarked quest and for some reason, the door for Miguel's Pawn Shop was also incorrectly loaded and I could not activate the door to get inside. So I popped in to third person and the rest is history. NEVER PATCH THIS OBSIDIAN. :fallout:

what, how do you do that? I've played Fallout 3 for like 300+ hours and am nearing 100 hours in New Vegas and have never heard of this. How do you do it? I tried searching for how to loot dad in fallout 3, but didn't find anything.

You walk up to the purifier door; as close to dad as possible, enter third person hold L2,Left Trigger and spin the camera around + this didnt work.

Still stuck - any last help before i end him?

I know the frustration of doing all that work for nothing. Ill keep looking for solutions.
